Obviously, my first thought is that I can't help but think about the Neo Geo X.   However, this still looks pretty awesome and the game lineup and pretty great.  If they can actually deliver on a quality product, I would be very interested.  But because there is so much that could go wrong, I definitely wouldn't consider a pre-order.  I need to see one in person first.

Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."

Where's the Neo Geo AES Classic Edition mini made to scale with the SNES mini? I don't want something with a screen on it. And I know the NGX is the right shape, just too big. I love these little guys!

I know it's not the same as what you are looking for, the the Neo Geo Mini did have the option to run HDMI to a TV, so you could treat it like a mini console.  Still not ideal, but the option is there.

Meh. Bartop arcades are not exciting and I’m sure it will be made with cheapo buttons and controls.

Thinking the same thing.  $499 and it just seems... off...  Can build something better for that price.
