I did, where I hold my phone over the Japanese text on my PC, but it just gave me giberish. Chrome translated most of the page, but not that part for some reason.

I figured as much, but I thought I would mention it just because some people aren't aware of that option. Glad it worked out since it sounds like it was a bit of a gamble.

I'm a bit of an odd ball on this, but if I had the space for it, I would collect old AV equipment. I love that kind of stuff, but I just don't have the room for it. I watch a lot of Technology Connections on YouTube to get my fix on AV equipment.

There was a very literal embargo in Japan on shipments to & from the US for some time. That's most likely what the issue was.
