Finally found Ring Fit Adventure (the whole thing, of course), and the other two came from Strictly Limited. My first (and maybe only) limited run type purchase.

I finally found a Laserdisc player for a good price at Goodwill.  I've been looking for years, but never seen one in the wild.  I'm always checking Goodwill on a regular basis, but with everything going on, I haven't been there since March.  Thanks to Bear for the tip.

It has the strangest remote I've ever seen, but apparently this was meant to be a classroom model and was designed to be easily used by teachers and students.

Too bad it's not a Laser Active.  That would be amazing to find in the wild.  I always keep an eye out any place that sells old DVD and CD players with the hope that one gets mixed in with no one noticing.  Maybe someday.

Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."

Glad you got it man!  If it had been a LaserActive I would have grabbed it :P  Regardless, it's a cool bit of old technology and I had to seriously talk myself out of walking out of there with it lol.

Much like Arseen, I had to get this too. I paid double for it, though, because I didn't know about it until way after release (Arseen's post). Most everywhere it's going for around $250 US now. Found one on ebay for like $190 shipped on a slow boat that wouldn't arrive until October. OK, whatever. A few days later, the seller messages me. "Would you like to upgrade to faster shipping?" "Nope. I'm good." A few days after that, I get a message saying my order has been cancelled. Something about DHL denied the shipment from Japan to US due to import fees or whatever. Yeah, sure. DHL ships to me all the time, and US doesn't have import fees. You just found out you were charging too little (I guess). Anyway, found a used one on Amazon Japan for like $204 US if I pay in yen ($211 if payed in dollars). Luckily Chase allows me to pay in Yen. I couldn't read the description to see the exact status of this particular item (Japanese), but I took a chance. It came by, guess who, DHL, and it only took a couple days. The only thing opened was Rockman Classics 1. Everything else was still sealed. Since I already own Mega Man 11, if anyone needs a sealed Rockman 11, along with the Japanese script that's useless to me, let me know before I throw em up on eBay.

That's aggravating when seller pull that crap, but there isn't much you can do about it.

Have you tried Google Translate?

Yeah it sucks!

Have you tried Google Translate?

I did, where I hold my phone over the Japanese text on my PC, but it just gave me giberish. Chrome translated most of the page, but not that part for some reason.

I figured as much, but I thought I would mention it just because some people aren't aware of that option.  Glad it worked out since it sounds like it was a bit of a gamble.

I'm a bit of an odd ball on this, but if I had the space for it, I would collect old AV equipment.  I love that kind of stuff, but I just don't have the room for it.  I watch a lot of Technology Connections on YouTube to get my fix on AV equipment.

I totally get it.  My dream is to find a Atari Video Music C-240 just for the pure insanity of it.

There was a very literal embargo in Japan on shipments to & from the US for some time.  That's most likely what the issue was.

As I re-read the messages, maybe. I see it was to be shipped Japanpost, which he said US rejected. And he wanting me to upgrade to DHL or FedEx. That's OK, I didn't wanna pay more than around $200 anyway.

A member over at RF Generation was very generous and hooked my daughter up with a Sega Pico.  She's a bit too young right now but we'll be ready in a few years ;D
