Hey all, I was hoping to find a good samaritan who would be willing to print a small handful of covers for my collection and have them shipped to me? I only need to have 15 UGC covers printed (possibly 17 if I can get my request to touch-up two raw scans fulfilled)... Of course, I would be more than happy to compensate anyone willing to help me with this!! Just name your price!

The problem I have is that I used to print my covers at a student-run university print shop long ago, but ever since they got turned into a Kinko's I haven't been able to find ANY print shops that are willing to print our "copyrighted" artwork (as I'm sure you all well know), and getting an entire quality printer setup for just the few missing holes in my collection feels pretty ridiculous... So any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks in advance!!!  ;D

What type of cases do you use? UGC? CGC?

Sorry, probably should have specified, I'm using UGC cases, and a few of them are retail GameCube disc cases. Could you accommodate both?

That’s not really something I’d do. I was just asking for reference for anyone who might do this.

You could ask Shadowfox, but I don’t know if that’s his sort of thing.

UPS tends to look the other way, especially if you find someone in there that can print for you that also loves video games. I have a UPS about 2hours away I go to every now and then when I have 30-40 covers saved up. A guy by the name of Travis works there and he is one awesome dude. All I do is bring in my Hard drive with the file that has everything separated by cover size and he does the rest. He even did a double sided print job for me for a PS4 game that had a reversible cover.

I have covers for most Disc based games. Let me know if you need something scanned.

I've tried ALL of the shops around me that I can think of; Kinko's, UPS, FedEx, Office Depot, everybody's been real sticklers about it... Is there any place where I could upload my pictures online, so they might get printed automatically without someone in-person noticing??? The problem then might be that it'll print wrong because I probably won't have any input on the DPI settings, etc...

Unfortunately even if you use their online store and have the correct dimensions someone is required to review every print job prior to printing. I learned that as I tried to do it through office max one time. I guess you really just have to get lucky like I have. Gotta find that passionate person who is into it as much as you are. I even brought back one of the covers he printed for me so her could see how they turned out because he was afraid the art would crack due to the thickness we settled on.

Man, that's lucky... What's the price per print come out to be where you go, and what all kind of paper did you guys decide on? And since you've had so much success, would you be against including my batch of covers during your next trip..??

So the price point I am unsure of. As a retro gamer who likes his collection on display I stopped paying attention to the price point long ago for prints. We settled on 10 pt cardstock and I print 2 of each cover. I print one on regular cardstock and one on glossy photo quality card stock. I pick which one I like the best and then i file the other one away in an accordion binder that I have sorted by system. I do have to cut them myself which I use an Omnigrid straight edge, a rotary cutter and self healing cutting mat (wife is a sewing, crochet, knitting etc crafter). I currenty have 23 printouts I need to do and am waiting on a few to come through from Arseen for a few of my SFC games. Also waiting on a few Sega Saturn Games to get moddified to have a silver spine like this one:

The gold looks phenomenal and the overall design looks much better than what was released in the us:

http://www.thecoverproject.net/view.php?cover_id=9431

I was hoping to get my brother in law to print them for me and bring them down when they come down for my Son's birthday on the 11th.

Depending on how many you have and how much you are willing to pay for shipping and such we could work something out. Like I said I stopped paying attention to the price of prints long ago due to my mentality of a collector. I am going to do it anyway so price topped be an objection for me.

Lol I didn't mean to call you out like that. Not trying to be rude if that i the way it as taken. I figured you were waiting for someone to finish cleaning the Mystery of the emblem box I scanned in since you put out a call for that. I am not in any rush so you don't have to rush either.

Nah no offence taken, like I said, I just had forgotten once again.
Juhannus = heavy boozing + family visiting.

But now I have free time.
I do hope someone more skilled makes the edit I requested but I will make cover with the front I current have too.
Covers should be ready by morning (Finnish time that is, so in few hours. It's just past midnight).

I checked those 2 covers (files that start with GC_).
Altough they are not perfect they should print out just fine.
I can try doing something if you tell me whatcha want.
I'm really not that good myself, I mostly piece together covers from ready pieces, but I can try.

Thanks a lot man!!!!!!! Yeah, I figured Gotcha Force was mostly good enough as-is, but the "ready-to-print" Killer7 cover has an awful lot of scan-glare on the blacks of the spine/fold-edges, whereas the raw scan (the one with white edges) actually looks a great bit cleaner... If you wouldn't mind just reshaping that raw version to a template-fitting, print-ready image, and maybe do the slightest bit of touch-up on the handful of white specs, that would be totally awesome for me!!!

You're the best!!
