Hi. Has anyone else experienced this before..

I cannot seem to get a replacement GBA lens to stay on. The adhesion keeps failing on one side or one corner as if the shell itself is not flat or the screen is not flat.

Has anyone else experienced this? Any tips? I've tried a glass screen and a plastic one.

Plastic or glass?

Glass. I've even tried using cardstock and clamps to clamp it down for a couple of days to help the adhesion stick. I'm going to try the same thing but with plastic, as obviously the glass won't bend well.

Is the adhesive cut to fit the form of the lens, or is it just a smattering of adhesive strips?

Was/Is the surface of the GBA prepped beforehand? (I.e cleaned).

Yes to both. It was as if the gameboy shell wasn't flat. I ended up trashing it and putting on a new plastic one instead. Just couldn't get the glass to work properly. To help the plastic stay stuck, I clamped it on for a day with some cardstock to protect the screen.
