Today was a big day for me.  I finally got my hands on Chocobo's Dungeon 2, a semi obscure PS1 RPG.  And with that, I now own every North American RPG released for the original Playstation.   ;D ;D ;D

Admittedly this game isn't rare or anything. Uncommon, sure, but if you go on eBay you can always find it.  But I had a strict rule to only buy in the wild, or with a cheap buy it now/low bid on eBay.  Makes the hunt a little more fun  And I finally got lucky and grabbed it for $25 shipped.

Was happy to see that Moss came back in stock on amazon for $20. No more empty case for my stupid digital copy.

Target.com had a sale a while back, but I never posted these when I got them.

If you pre-ordered the TG16 Mini from Amazon and you were excited to get a shipping notification, be prepared to be disappointed by the fact that Amazon is shipping it in a bubble mailer.   ::)

My corners look like shit, but I'm probably pretty lucky compared to what could have happened.

Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."

I've neglected to post quite a lot of pickups lately. So here we go...

Despite N64 being my most fond-of system, I have neglected to buy a lot of games for it over the years due to owning an everdrive for quite some time (actually sold it last year). So finally, I picked up a bunch of N64 staples (plus a couple randoms).

I also got a GBA in mint condition complete in the box, and then I swapped the internals with my backlit modded GBA. Call me a murderer, I don't care  ;D. The case mod is extremely clean (used a japanese chisel instead of a dremel). I've just never been happy with the aftermarket shell on my GBA, and I got the box just for value.

Second photo is a lanyard that's on the way for extra style points.

And some more random games.. (a second copy of Battlefront II for local multiplayer)

I also got a Four Swords Adventure box before they're ridiculously expensive like everything else Zelda these days...

I also purchased a modded NES with NESRGB. For those who haven't seen an RGB modded NES, you wouldn't even think it's the same system. On my 480p flatscreen, it practically looks emulated. It's nuts. This modder does quality work. I had him put in a refurbed original 72-pin. He also uses genuine multi-outs.

I also have these on the way, which I'm excited about. I also have realMyst coming (but no picture).

AND... one more thing. I got these. I've already played through the original Turok on Switch, and it is incredibly good. It was already an acclaimed game for the N64, but with better visuals (remastered, NOT remade) and a better controller, this game is fantastic.

Mine didn't even come in a bubble mailer. Mine was just the box with the shipping labels stuck to it. No packaging at all.

So I haven't had many pick-ups lately with the whole pandemic and everything but I did get these the other day.  If you haven't heard, Dollar Tree stores have / had the 4 main Starlink ships for $1 each at some locations.  I was lucky and one close to me had them so I got all 4.

So that sent me looking around the internet for other deals and found that a GameStop close to me had 3 of the 4 weapon packs for $2 each... so I did a curbside pickup for those.

I already had the Switch starter pack which I got for like $10 a while back.  I ended up putting in an order for the Target exclusive ship for $20 off Amazon and the PS4 starter pack for $13 on eBay to get that ship.  I've been eyeing the other weapons pack, pilots, and the GameStop exclusive ship but haven't pulled any triggers yet.  I wasn't planning on getting everything but these were so cheap it made me look into the rest. Most of it is still relatively cheap except for the GS ship and the UK exclusive pilot.

That blows.

I got mine from Amazon.jp about a month ago.  Luckily they shipped in a proper box.

I saw your facebook post.  I would love to have all three models, but I don't want to spend the money.  I thought about ordering from Amazon Japan, but for some reason, I thought you could only get the PCE or CG versions from them, and if I could only get one, I wanted the US version because all of my other minis are US versions.

That’s what I originally thought as well. It wasn’t until like 10 IG users told me that I found out.

Luckily they are all technically business expenses. One of the perks of the job :)

Yeah, so I am in the US, and I have all the US minis, including the Atari Flashback X (but not the C64 or Neo Geo- I WOULD get a Neo that looked like the home console, if they made one), as well as the Famicom Mini, and normally, yeah, I'd get the TG16 mini. But it's barely mini, way too big. I'd rather have the "European" model instead (why did they choose that model to be the Euro version anyway, was that one even released there?). I have no attachment to the TG16 anyway, as I never owned one.

The Neo Geo X is basically that.  Portable with an enclosed dock that looks just like a mini AES console.
