Hey dude, just wanted to give you a heads up that PS1 games in DVD styled cases rarely ever get made as the PS1 artwork is CD style (not DVD).  If you provide artwork though, someone might help.  But without any reference material, I see a lot of people just passing this over :(  DVD cases take up too much space and look pretty bad next to legit PS1 covers.

Great feedback, thank you.    There are so many good PS1 DVD style on here I hadn't thought it was rare.     I'll see about scanning what I have!

Suggestions on best ways to scan?

Just a general scanning rule- scan everything as flat as possible at 600dpi with descreen turned on.

But yeah, it's impossible to turn a square into a rectangle without stretching it. The Namco Museums were sorta easy because the cover is mostly white, and I was already reworking the cover for myself because you can see through the white on the scans and they needed some cleaning.

But if you have a strategy guide for Little Mermaid II, that would help, since it will be closer to DVD dimensions. Or the Little Mermaid II DVD movie cover could probably be made into a custom game cover. (I haven't played the game  nor seen any of the sequel movies to know if the plots/ characters match up.)

The community is on a roll, and this is a long standing one that's hanging out there to check off, so I thought I'd bump again.

I'm having a go, but the moire on those scans is REAL bad - spent a couple of hours on it, and not happy with how it looks.  Any chance you can rescan with the moire removal/descreen option?

Well, the scanning software doesn't appear to have that option, but I went with significantly higher Rez files, so let's see if those help.  MUCH larger:

Unfortunately that just made the moire even more noticeable.

Here's the best I could come up with.

Images are a little muddied, but it should print OK.

Ugh, sorry then.

This is quite useable, however, and thank you very much.  Let me print it and see how it works!

Here's my take on the cover. The front and spine are from the DVD movie cover, but I'm sorry, I cheated on the back and stole Sheep2001's back:
