Talk about any random acts of kindness in these strange and scary times!

So yesterday I noticed a strange purple-y discolouration top and centre on my TV, bummer! So I looked it up to see if there was an easy fix, there was: buy a new TV!

I could order one, but I'm hardly ever at home these days, and the post office seems to be struggling at the moment so when would I get it?

Luckily the local supermarket were still selling TV's, so I went and bought one, 40", £220, nice!

However, how was I going to get it home?

I was slowly struggling along when a nice young lady pulled up in her car and offered me a lift! I was silently stunned but gladly accepted the offer, I was home in a couple of minutes!

I gave my thanks and she drove off, I never even got her name!, I'd like to take this opportunity to say: Thank You anonymous lady you saved me from a long struggle!

Were you walking the TV home?  Either way, that was pretty nice of her, especially during these times. 

It reminds me of a time WAY back when I was still in school.  I was riding my bike and I had an issue with the rear wheel that prevented me from riding it and I didn't have the tools on hand to fix it on the road.  This was well before cell phones were common place and while I technically owned one at the time, it was something you definitely wouldn't take with you on a bike ride.  So I was walking my bike back to my apartment when a woman stopped by as offered me a ride.  She even let me cram by bike into the trunk of her car and leave the trunk open for the rest of the drive back.  By this point, I was less than 2 miles from home, but it was still very nice of her to do that for a complete stranger.

Were you walking the TV home?  Either way, that was pretty nice of her, especially during these times. 

I was, unfortunately I don't drive, although I'm starting to think maybe I should learn, she didn't seem to mind, in fact she said she'd given someone else a lift a few days before, still a very kind act and I'm very thankful for it.

This warms my heart. I'm so thankful there are still wonderful people in the world that will give someone a hand. I remember one time when I was out running errands on my bicycle. I got a flat and I had three miles to get home. I am not mechanically inclined. Riding my bicycle on a flat is bumpy. A guy in a car saw me and noticed my bicycle wasn't riding right. He slowed his car down and offered to give me a lift home. He pulled over in the bike lane for me after I said yes. I noticed that he also had a bicycle rack on his car. That helped a lot. When he got me home, I tried to give him a few $2 bills for his help, but he declined. He was just happy to give me a ride home. After I showered, I put my bicycle rack on the trunk of my car and strapped down my bicycle. Then I hauled my bicycle to REI for a flat repair. When the flat repair was done, I said, "I feel whole again".
