I can probably help out with this. I recently started working on these for the 8 disc poly cases. Anyone know what font is used for the game names on the front of these? EDIT: looks like CG Triumvirate Extra Compressed is pretty close.

I own them all complete in box, but my 2 is just the disc, and I store my PS1 games in DVD cases to have them fit better.

If you can help, I'd so appreciate it.

I wish I still had them all. I'll need to rebuy them all. I had the American vols 1-5, and the Japanese vol 2 (Cutie Q and Bomb Bee instead of Super Pac-Man) and Encore (#6). Encore even came with a cereal box size case to hold the previous 5 games with it. Of course it was meant for the Japanese versions, but I put in my American versions (slim 2 disc case for the US/JPN versions of #2 in one case) and a custom (pre photoshop-saavy self) made front cover for Encore. (Made by literally cutting and pasting copies of parts of a US cover over top of the Japanese Encore and making a color copy at Mailboxes, etc, which is now called The UPS Store.)

Anyway, here's a preview of what I have so far, hope you like it! Scroll to see all 6 covers):

djdave, these are for you! Sorry I took so long. I built these completely from scratch, trying to look as much like the American jewel cases as possible (mostly in the style of Volumes 1-3), even for the Japan only Namco Museum Encore. It was fun, but very tedious. Finding logos and screenshots for all of the games online took forever, especially making them all the same size. I also made up* English text for Encore, trying to capture the feel of the other US games. I added the appropriate icons missing from the US covers, using the US names/ product numbers where available, as follows:

Optional Controller SLEH-0003      =      NegCon
Optional Controller SLPH-00015    =      Volume Controller (aka NES Arkanoid Vaus controller, only released in Japan)
Analog Joystick Compatible           =      Sega twinstick style analog flightstick, released before the DualShock or Analog Controller in general
Optional Controller SLEH-0004      =      Namco Arcade stick (AKA Soul Edge stick in Japan)

By the way, djdave, I also made alternate versions of Contra: Legacy of War, C: The Contra Adventure and Street Fighter Collection 1 & 2 in your appropriate topics, if you haven't seen them.

*Some text came from online descriptions of the games, but changed around a lot.

Marioxb:

THANK YOU so very much for these.   They look really fantastic, and I do appreciate your attention to detail on them.  I'll be spending time this weekend printing and putting them together to put this collection on display.

Thank you for the hard work -- and I will pull the others too.    Very impressive!  Thank you!

No problem, I appreciate it! I love the Namco Museum games, especially the PS1 versions. I used to have all 7 (1-5 US, 2 and Encore JPN), with a cool carrying case that came with Encore, but lost in a move. I will have to replace them. So this was kind of a passion project for me. I never had a US style case for #6 before, so that was fun making. When you print and case em up, I'd love to see what they look like all together. I'm guessing you don't have any of the Japanese versions though.

Thank you again.  I wanted to come back and give you some pictures of them being used.

I'm not quite sure how to embed with this forum software, so just posting:

And, the whole shelf, so you see why I like the uniform DVD cases for PS1:

Thank you again for the work!

That's awesome, thanks for that! I'm glad I could contribute! I haven't printed them myself, so I wasn't sure how they'd look. Glad they came out so well. And your entire collection looks nice, I can't wait to get my own place again and set up all my stuff.
