| How has Corona virus affected your life. |

Myself not that much. Only 2 things thing directly affecting me: As I have two weeks off from work (normal winter vacation... no snow though) I was planning on going to Estonia, but due to not so great lungs (minor astma that causes all influensas going directly to lungs and usually causing Pneumonia) I decided not to take that chance. Luckily I didn't order the trip as ship companies have canceled the ferries due to Estonia (Finland too) declaring not quite marshall law but very hightened restrictions, and if I had taken the trip I would had to quarentee myself for 2 weeks before going to work (I work in healthcare with elderly folks, some very fragile as is). Second thing was that we postponed my and my 2 sister's birthday dinner for a month due facts coming out if you read further. My family has been affected little bit more: Schools and daycare of kids of three of my siblings have been closed as precaution, and some teachers might actually be Corona positive either due traveling to Italy or their relatives doing that (flights to Italy from my town are quite popular as it and Germany are the only options during winter (apart from charter flight or two to Spain during the winter)). One of my sisters was in Austria when Norwegian (air plane carrier/ company) this morning suddenly canceled their flights home, luckily they found alternate flights home. But she is in quarantee for 2 weeks at home. Shops here are quite quiet except one that had grand re-opening today. Items that are more or less sold out are hand sanitizers, disposable gloves, masks, canned tuna and fancier toilet paper... And today my other brother and one of my sisters heard that the car factory where they work might close for two weeks, but can be up to 3 months, due to parts not arriving from China. And few very likely Corona positive workers in another department. This and uncommonly warm winter (currently 30+ degrees warmer than it usually is) might allow me to do my room renovation early. I started it last summer but due to helpers being buzy it got put on hold and now I'm planning doing even more complex renovation. And as for confirmed cases there are 1 in my local town and 1 bit further away, both contained and probably cured as no additional infections have been confirmed in 1 week (except those teachers that might have it). No other cases withing 200 kilometers. |

Thanks for the update. I hope everything for everyone here goes safely and we all stay healthy. Things are getting strange here at work now in Alabama. We just converted all classes after the 30th to be online only for the rest of the semester. |

Both of my kids classes have been canceled for the rest of the month. My wife works at the same school, but she still has to go in to help clean. All sporting evens, and local events in the area have been canceled. I've been developing methods to work offsite (from my house) in the event that we are sent home. I work at a hospital, so they certainly won't shut down, but they may require some employees to either work from home or not come in at all if their job is not directly involved with patients. Not many cases in my area yet, but there has been a lot of preparation for it. Not much else to say outside of the nationwide stuff that is all over the news. We are in pretty good shape to hunker down and "stay off the grid" for a few weeks if need be. I'm not too worried on my end except for my parents who are in the high risk age group, but fortunately they are also well prepared to stay inside for a pretty |

Same thing here in Illinois. All the schools have been closed for the rest of the month... My wife is going to go insane. |

It hasn't affected me as far as anybody I know getting sick (so far only about a dozen known cases in the state I live in) but I have been incredibly busy at work. I work at Costco and we have been busier for the last two or three weeks but it was really bad yesterday and today. We had more people come in yesterday than any one day in the 10 years that my location has been open, including Black Friday/Christmas. I'm also very sick of people asking if we have toilet paper (or sanitizer, paper towels etc.) |
