So I have some covers I would like scan and upload as raws, I read the guide, but I still want to make sure I'm getting the best results.

If I were to post links to my scans here, would you guys be able to provide some assistance/ suggestions?

I'd advice posting only a small set first. Everyone makes mistakes on their first go, it seems. Rescanning an entire collection would be a pain in the ass.

The scan is not bad.. a tad blurry, but usable.. I do sugest that you scan raw files in 600dpi instead of 300... It gives the artist more detail to work with..

Also, go ahead and upload it to our site, BOX or Photobucket sometimes lower the quality of your images in order to save space.

The scans look pretty good... Just make sure to flaten out the boxes as much as possible(put heavy books on them when scanning)....

Are they 600dpi? Then they're prefect....

Well I set my scanner to scan at 600dpi, but it would only do a max of 400dpi for color. It's a cheap all-in-one lexmark that's kinda old, I have a nicer HP that I need to buy a new power cord for, so hopefully that will solve that problem.

I did put some books on the lid for scanning. Flattenning out the Intellivision box was hard because there's a cardboard "harness" inisde the box that holds the game in place.

Would these still be workable in 400dpi? Or should I wait until I get my better scanner hooked up?
