Will my printer be good enough or should I buy a new one. Also Paper Question.

Ok so when I bought my computer I got a free HP Photosmart C4180 All-in-One Printer, Scanner and Copier. Will this be good enough to print out high quality covers or should I buy a diff printer? Also do you guys use a high quality scanner to upload raw cover scans? and what kind of paper do you guys use, like photopaper? also what size does the paper need to be?

I have Canon MP190 printer, pretty much the cheapest I could find.
It prints freaking good covers.
I think the quality of paper you use means more, I use 170g/m³ semi-glossy everyday photo paper from HP, print from paint using settings of semi-gloss paper and print with highest quality.

ok I will def try that, I heard that printing for paint does not give you the best covers? Is the semi-glossy everyday photo paper expensive, and how much ink shoots out of your printer for it being cheap though? thats what im worried about cause I have about 150 covers to print :(
EDIT: Oh and I tried to search is the 170/m3 a special lingo lol cause I can't find it, what size should the papper as well?

Paper costs about 18 euros per 100 sheet. paper has to be A4 size, Legal-size I think in US.
170g/m³ is the thickness of the paper, normal printer paper is 80g/m³ or 90g/m³
I have printed now 10 NES covers with the inks that came with printer, and I'm used about half of the color ink, black seems to be full.
Ink cartridges that come with the printer are never full, usually only half or one third full.
New ink cartridges cost about 10 euros.
So I estimate that price of one cover to be about 10-15 cents.
BTW: I still have 600+ covers to print.

Personally, I think the best paper to use for covers is matte HP Brochure paper. Just the right thickness.
I prefer matte paper since it looks the same as glossy underneath the plastic and doesn't take 3 days to dry properly.
