Yeah that's what I was afraid of. Honestly I just want a more hi-res version of this image, enough to actually see all the details

I remember seeing this artwork clearly in a gaming magazine from the era.  The big 3 were Gamefan, EGM, and Gamepro.  Another avenue would be to see if Capcom released an art book for the original RE, or if any of the newer versions had concept art as a bonus feature.
