Hey All...

Does anyone happen to have a DualShock 4 controller box insert?

Looking for two of the plastic controller inserts and one blue outer box (without a color sticker on it). Looking for the version with the flat front inserts, not the form fitted ones.

Recently moved and a couple of my controllers boxes got a little damaged.  Controllers are fine though.  Since these controllers are only for display, I'd like to replace them.  Thought I'd ask here before hitting up eBay.

Also, I've noticed that a couple of my PS3 & PS2 controllers have sticky rubber on the top of the joy sticks.  Only happened to a few that have been in storage for a while.  Has anyone else experienced this?  If so, is there any remedy short of replacing the sticks?

Can't help with the top part but this is just due to the plastic / rubber breaking down over time (especially with the help of the oil from your skin).  You can give them a good cleaning and that should help out for a while.  I use some Windex with an old toothbrush (bristles only) personally.  If it's really bad, you can use something like goo gone but depending on how bad it is you could end up just removing all the rubber.  You kind of have to play it by ear.

I've had the same issue with some of my PS3 controllers.  I've had more trouble with the controllers I've bought used compared to the ones I've owned since new.  Not sure if I just take better care of my own stuff, or if my stuff just has fewer hours of game time.
Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."

First time I've ever experienced that sticky goopy stuff on the thumbsticks, so I freaked out a little.  I usually take impeccable care with my controllers.  Always wash my hands before gaming.  Never eat while playing.  And generally refrain from throwing them at the TV in frustration.  LOL.  Kinda freaked out when I saw that stuff on three controllers, all of which had been in storage for a while before moving.

Luckily, a good light scrubbing with some isopropyl alcohol seems to have taken care of it.  At least for now.  Think I'm gonna go ahead and buy some replacement sticks though, just in case, because I'm, paranoid like that.

Definitely a good idea with the replacement sticks. I'm getting paranoid about rubber breaking down myself lately. Hasn't happened to any controllers I own, but some Transformers figure collectors (I lurk in that department frequently) have noticed that some figures from not too far back are doing this and it's reacting with the plastics, essentially dissolving parts of certain figures. Makes me nervous for any of my controllers...

I’ve had this happen on a couple of USB hubs, and a laptop which had a thin rubber coating.  I tried all sorts on the USB hubs to get rid of the stickiness, ended up just throwing them away.  The laptop isn’t too bad yet, just a bit tacky.

I have a couple DS4 boxes, one from the original model and one from the revised. Whenever I go home for Christmas I'll look for them.

Sorry for the confusion...  Actually look for the physical boxes.  Really just the front plastic from the newer flat version (not the form fitting ones).  Have a collection of controllers that I display.  While moving, something sharp went through the front plastic on two of the boxes. Missed the controllers thankfully, but cracked the windows, so I need to replace them sometime.

No.
He wants to get the actual plastic inserts, not just scans of it.
