Help making my scans better.

Hello! (sorry if this is the wrong forum for this question)
I felt bad asking for all these covers without providing some of my own when i saw people where asking so im trying to scan some stuff I saw on the request forums. Ive never done anything like this before and im not sure how to do it well. I followed the instructions on the how to scan post I think (the part about putting something on top of it in the scanner was confusing/unclear to me?). My scan attempts turned out not great? not sure what you would call the issue with this one but its defiantly not crisp. Anyways this was just a long winded way of asking for some tips on how to make this look better/useable for this site. Thank you for your time!

What kind of scanner do you have?  It's most likely you need to adjust some settings in it to get the best results.  Also, make sure you are using the actual software for the scanner to do the scanning and not just your OS.
