Beastman1975:
i have tons of games i havent played either , problem was i was working for an evil video game store , and when people traded in their old stuff in mint condition for pennies of what it was worth  if they sold it on ebay i snatched alot of stuff up cheap. i even tried to convice people that they  were fools for tradein stuff in, but got the " eh it takes alot of time to set online auctions" excuse,  so i benifited from other peoples laziness lol
Drakul:
Well I don't have that many games right now and even then I haven't played them all

The way i approach collecting is more getting all the games I played in the past and adding all the big classics and games I may like. I will certainly not buy a crappy game or one I know nothing about just for the sake of growing my collection.
But to each his own of course.
Doom:
I have somewhat of a problem, but without a job it's easy to catch up and hard to make it worse. ;) I have kept track of the games I beat this year, should have (but didn't) last year, and sort of did in 2007.

Games I've beat since summer vacation (June 5)
WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Party Game$!
The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures
Call of Duty 4
EarthBound
Pac-Man Championship Edition (200/200)
Guitar Hero III
Guitar Hero: Aerosmith
de Blob
The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition (200/200)
Burnout Paradise

Games I've beat since the start of the year. (also includes games I completed this year. For example, I beat Super Mario Galaxy in 2007. I completed it this year. I won't count it towards my year-end total of the games I've beat, but I will record it.)

2009 video game related spending.

I've been trying forever to beat every game I own, but there are a certain few I keep going back to and replaying instead of moving on. Out of all my friends, I thought having 190 or so games was a lot, but then browsing through one or two of the more popular Backloggery users' sites, I realized thats kind of a weak number. Impressive only in the fact that I've been buying used my whole life with my own money and only getting new consoles when everyone else is upgrading to the next generation, but otherwise no biggie. I do like that now that I have a job I can get like 5-10 used games at a time as opposed to one or two :)
csvo2000:
717 Games across 26 different consoles
This does not include several duplicate items
or Several duplicate consoles (ie 4 DC's etc.)

I buy about 3 - 10 games every 2 weeks.
