Too bad this too seems to be console that emulates the carts, meaning N64 Everdrive will almost certainly not work.
Hope Analoque tips their tow in soon (as well release cheaper NES console and Sega 32-X, and maybe Mega CD).
VERY unlikely that at sega CD...
Probably unfortunately right as CD-drives are less reliable/more expensive than cart connecters.
I guess I'll have to internatiolize my MCD2.
... 32x to happen either.
Yeah probably too nieche to be worth onw console, but maybe they figure how to make it as an add-on.
N64 hasn’t been completely cracked yet, which is part of why emulation still sucks, and why the hyperkin clone will be crap.
Again I hope Analogue saves us.
May as well build a raspberry Pi console. It’ll be just about the same thing, sans cart port.
Starting to lean towards this (or maybe bit stronger PC based system. In addition with still collecting carts of course).
Analogue is done with the nes. Don’t expect a plastic one from them.[/quote]
One can hope as...
It's strange that Analogue never made an NES that was priced in line with their SNES or Genesis, but at least the Retro AVS exists. I would argue that it's on par with the Analogue systems, and therefore, well above the Hyperkin stuff.
... If I have read correctly Retron AVS is 720P where as Analogue is 1080P.
But on the other hand Retron AVS has front load NES carts (takes less space even tough Famicom carts are top load) and supports Famicom Microphone.
