After seeing the game boy cassette cases on these forums, it inspired me to look into a nicer way to do them, and also to do ones for game gear cartridges.
After a few weeks with cad modelling and prototyping with second hand foam (then finally with some proper foam samples from a supplier), I've gotten to the point where I want to start sharing my ideas and hopefully get some encouraging feedback.
First, some photos of the final prototype of the foam I intend to use for the game boy cassette cases I need (currently just 4 :O) also uses a cassette case without pins (gives a nicer finish than ones where the pins have manually been removed)
The foam here is currently in 3 separate pieces, for the finished product they'll be a single piece!
I've yet to design any covers for the game boy cases so those pictures just have a generic one from a blank tape.
Then onto the Game Gear one, for these I use a double cassette case (again without pins) and for this case I've already created a EU and US (purple style) cover template (not 100% accurate to originals) and done a few of the covers I need myself (still plenty to do).
Here's some pics of that one:

And a pic of the case in my shelf:

Once I'm all done, I plan to release the cad files for the foam, all the cover templates I've made, plus all the covers I've made here on the forums

I'll also be listing any suppliers of the cases I'll use that I find outside of Europe for all you guys overseas..
I do plan on buying more cases/foam than I need myself, and will likely sell these if anyone are interested, but do not plan on selling outside of Europe.
So if any of you guys overseas would be interested in doing cases like this, you'll still have all the files you'll need and suppliers for the cases. (for the foam you'll have to find suppliers yourself).
I'll keep updating this thread as I progress further
