I don't like Dead Cells.  It's map is randomly generated.  I can't do that sort of thing.

Yeah, I am not a fan of Rogue Likes either but this game just seemed to to everything right.  But to each is own!

It's a bummer, because I do enjoy everything else about it  :-\

Haven't really gotten much new in a while.  Thankfully, I preordered this when it was announced in July.  Just got back from picking it up.   ;D

The beautiful Resident Evil 2 Collector's Edition!  I have been waiting for this remake for 17 years - basically since the original REmake came out in 2002 for the Gamecube.  And so far, this has lived up to its near 20 year hype.

Admittedly, I am a tad disappointed in the map.  I thought it would be of a higher quality paper like the map that came with the PS3 Japan release of the first game.  Instead it just feels like cheap printer paper.  But since this'll be framed anyway, I guess it's no big deal.

The hardcover media notes book, however, is nicer than I thought it would be.  So that'as a plus.

The statue is awesome.  I had heard some criticisms recently that it was subpar in terms of detail and quality, but I am impressed.  Nicely detailed, solid figure, good weight.  Stand is a little flimsy, but nothing that I'm worried about.  All in all, worth every cent.

My RE2 is set to arrive today.  I pre-ordered it back when Amazon still offered 20% off.  I was able to confirm on Wednesday that they still honored the 20% discount (they didn't charge me until it was shipped, but it was still 20% off).

I don't pre-order games often, but I've been waiting for this game for a very long time.  I played the 1 shot demo and that was more than enough to convince me that the wait will be worth it.  No big plans for this weekend, so hopefully I can get some good game time in.
Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."

What makes the “deluxe edition” actually deluxe?

Additional DLC.  Outfits and whatnot.  I also have some extra weapons.  Some of the DLC comes with the Deluxe edition.  Some of the DLC came with the pre-order.  I forget which was which.  Probably not worth the extra $10, but whatever.  It's Resident Evil 2.  Plus, like I said, I got it for 20% off anyway.

The DLC is mostly cosmetic - but it does have a new gun.  The Albert (Wesker) variation of the Samurai Edge handgun.
Preorder DLC offered the Chris and Jill variants.
Chris has better accuracy, Jill's is more quickly drawn/fires quicker, Albert does slightly more damage.
While minor, they are all a step up from the handgun you start with, even after you upgrade it.

I found myself using Chris mostly, but I did switch to the others at times when I needed speed or more oomph.  That said, you can't unload a weapon, so once the bullets are in, only way out is by pulling the trigger.

The deluxe pack also offers the ability to swap the soundtrack and in game sounds with the original PSX music/sound effects.  Kind of silly, but was really cool to hear that music in the modern setting

All DLC can apparently be purchased separately on the store as well
