--- Quote from: wiggy on July 22, 2012, 06:47:23 PM ---And here's the guy that also thought ripping off used retailers (and thus other gamers) in order to make a buck is a good idea. So, when the economy is in rough shape, it becomes OK to rip people off? That's part of why it's in the shape that it is right now; selfish, greedy morons. Way to be not only short-sighted, but hindsight blind as well. --- End quote --- 100% with you on the wiggy. Every word is spot on! If the economy is effecting you that bad ... you shouldn't be buying frivolous things anyway |

--- Quote from: shenske on July 22, 2012, 11:44:40 PM ---You would be incorrect. GameStop only charges a refurbishment fee if the unit is not working when it is tested. You tricked the employee into taking in you defective unit as a properly working one. The system is then cleaned, repackaged and sold immediately. Most consoles are bought as gifts (trust me). Just imagine a 7 year olds face when he realized he got an xbox360 for his birthday! Other family member were in on it too and got him some games for him to play and he is overzealous with joy. Then he hooks up the system to find out that the system doesn't work at all. He is crushed on his birthday. Yeah, to top that all off the parent (rightfully so) is COMPLETELY pissed off that someone sold the system to them. You just fucked over the 16 year behind the counter and he gets the guilt trip of a lifetime that he just ruined a 7 year olds birthday. That person who tested the system gets in MAJOR trouble because they 'didn't test the system' and caused a huge problem. All because you wanted to save a few bucks. No excuses, its wrong. --- End quote --- Agreed; its a form of stealing, and you should be ashamed of yourself. |
