It wasn't a garage sale, but I've found a few treasures at my local Game Exchange store. I try to stop there a few times a week to see what people have traded in. A few months ago, someone traded a Sega CD model 2 system and some games. I wanted the system, but the price was $65 so I passed. However, when I looked on the shelf where the used Sega CD games were, there it was - Snatcher, complete in the case. Even better was the price - $7.95.

Usually, their computer flags the rarer games, and they are priced at a premium and kept in a display case. Apparently, they missed this one. The person who traded it in didn't know what he had, and the store's computer didn't show it as a rare game. I'm actually not too familiar with the rarity of Sega CD games, so I wasn't sure if Snatcher was in fact valuable (I couldn't remember if it was Snatcher or Scorcher that was rare). Luckily, I took a chance and bought it. The previous owner wrote some codes on the back of the manual, but otherwise it's mint condition. I've even saved my receipt to remind myself of this incredible find.

I've also been looking to buy a used Saturn, but the Ebay prices have been too high recently. One day, I went into Game Exchange and they had one behind the counter. I asked how much it was, and it was only $29.99. Even better, it came with two "Nights" analog controllers. The controllers alone are worth $30. Later, I bought an official Sega Backup Cartridge for $25 - much less than Ebay price & no shipping.

Other than that, I've found a few semi-rare Atari 2600 games, but nothing nearly as exciting as the Snatcher.

I went to Good Will and got complete Battalion wars and Gamecube Preview Disc, both for Gamecube and 3$ each. I also got a free copy of Metal Gear Solid Twin Snakes, complete, minus Disc 1. :P It was free because it was missing the disc. Anyone know where I can get just disc 1?

ebay maybe? Craigslist?? Just a suggestion.

Nes model 1 all the hookups and 3 controllers

Ninja Gaiden 1 and 2 in kinda rough shape, (needs new labels and a good cleanin)

Snes model 1 with 2 controllers

Snes model 2 with ac plugin and 2 controllers

Breath of Fire 2 in great shape for $5 (I'm totally keeping this for my collection lol)

Super Ghouls'n Ghosts (needs new label)

Super Star Wars

Sega Genesis model 1 high definition graphics with 2 controllers

a pink and white gameboy advance (maybe keeping)

an Ice Blue N64 with matching controller and ac plugin (keeping the controller and jumper pack cover for my other ice blue system thats in a alot better shape.)

3 gamecube controllers and memory card.

And some other misc cords and hookups.

I looekd on eBay & Amazon, Only could find Disc 1&2 for 30$ with no case. I may buy that and sell Disc 2.
