@MickDundee - I want your father in law -  he sounds like an awesome bargain hunter.  You want to send him over here for a few weeks?  I'll take good care of him. Lol  ;D

I need him here to hunt for me! Having a kid and him getting a GF leaves me S.O.L. to go Yard Saling with him. Still hoping he comes across a TG16 for me....only system i WANT that I don't have.

He also keeps his eyes open for Anime, Manga, Hint Books, Legos and other various things I show interest in.

Not really a garage sale but, went to Digital press in Clifton NJ and picked up

Star Fox (SNES) 7.99
Super Adventure island (SNES) 8.99
Gun force (SNES) 1.99 -bargain bin "untested"
some nes sleeves and GB hard cases

For some reason SNES Games are non existent in the 6-8 towns i garage sale at.  plenty of nes, 64, ps, gc, etc.

This is the only place i ever pay close to retail prices.  Even then the prices are usually below ebay.
The only down side of going there for me is literally getting there.  route 20 and route 46 in NJ can be scary at times
all the crack heads on the road think their in grand theft auto.

Another craigslist find today -

39 PS1 games, ALL complete
PS1 w/ controllers and hookups etc

50$

Didnt need the system and most of the games but there were some gems in the games

Mega Man Legends 1 and 2
Legend of the Dragoon
FF 7-9 and tactics
Resident evil 1-3
Azure Dreams
Tales of Destiny

Needed legends 2 and azure dreams, again they were complete and in great condition, should easily cover the 50$ by selling off the rest

I wish we had conventions like that around where i live. Also, judging by you smile and hand placement i would assume the Blue Mushroom is 'yours'  :D

I don't know if I saw you or not.  That event was sort of sensory overload for me LOL!

But, I'll make sure that we at least get to say hi and shake hands next year.  Who knows, I may have a booth with a variety of console shells ;)

I still want to know where and how some of you find these awesome sales. There's only one flea market close to my home, and it sucks tremendously. Local garage sales are almost nonexistent on a regular basis, which is also maddening. Personally, I'd love to find some of these games for a LOT less than most people want...

Nintendo NES

DuckTales
Mega Man
Mega Man 5
Mega Man 6
Metroid (yellow label)
River City Ransom
Spot: The Video Game
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3: The Manhattan Project
Tiny Toon Adventures

Super Nintendo

Animaniacs
B.O.B.
Battletoads & Double Dragon
Battletoads in Battlemaniacs
Cool Spot
Double Dragon 5: The Shadow Falls
Final Fight Guy
The Mask
Mega Man 7
Mega Man X2
Mega Man X3
Pac-Attack
Super Double Dragon
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 4: Turtles in Time

Sega Genesis

Michael Jackson's Moonwalker
Sonic the Hedgehog
Sonic the Hedgehog 2
Sonic the Hedgehog 3
Sonic & Knuckles
Streets of Rage
Streets of Rage 2
Streets of Rage 3

Nintendo Gamecube

F-Zero GX
Mega Man Anniversary Collection
Mega Man X Collection
Spider-Man 2
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: Battle Nexus
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3: Mutant Nightmare

Dont discount ebay, yeah pricing can suck as well as shipping but every now and then find a great deal. For example I found mega man x3 and 7 both for 40$ cuz they had label wear, just printed out new labels. I also go mega man 5 and 6 cheap just by "make an offer"

As far as gamecube, might be a picked over but gamestop just started buy 2 get 2 free on all gamecube games

Most of those genesis games, especially sonic you should find dirt cheap online if not somewhere for a few bucks each at most.

@Wiggy
I better get a discount for a shell damn-it!  I love the idea so PLEASE bring atleast one, because I will most definitely buy it!

@Shenske
The "blue" mushroom is Kelly, and she is freaking amazing (and is completely "mine").  She finds uber rare things and uses puppy dogs eyes to bargain down high prices to stupid/insane low prices.  Trust me, there is a STRONG love/hate relationship.  She freaking found a wavebird controller with adapter for $1.  It was $10 and she swindled the seller down $9, I mean... come on! If I tried that, the person would laugh and tell me to leave!

First, spelling and punctuation are your friends. Second, I don't trust Ebay; there's too many folks willing to rip folks off at every turn.

Is this at all locations, with all available titles, or just select on both?

Well, there's not a lot of retro stores in my area, and the few that exist don't have much besides tons of pointless old sports games. They'd be good for case replacements, but that's it. :(
