Jup grum is right...

I had some luck to last week....

Got a Dreamcast Broadband adapter boxed complete for 20 dollars in a games shop. We have quite many video games shops here in austria openend and maintained by turkey folks. Sometimes you can make really good deals with them cause they've got good prices most of the time and are always willing to haggle a bit....

That's a very good find you have there Tik. There are very few gaming shops that keep retro stuff here nowadays. Most dont go back past PS2 and the ones that do normally are laughably expensive. Mind you, i get on well with the local guys and they give me first refusal on the stuff they get so thats a bonus.

a little luck today:

Megadrive 2 with 12 boxed & 2 unboxed games i didn't already have (and 4 i do have) for £13 (including MK 3, Paperboy and rolo to the rescue)

3 wii games i paid a little too much for - Big brain academy, Worms and boom blox - £20.  But as i was planning to buy worms and boom blox anyway, it seemd an ok deal to only pay an extra couple of pounds for BBA.

Almost had resi evil 2 for PS1 for 50p, but it was missing a disc.

Thats good going. I found Tetris 2 on NES, Lemmings The 2 Tribes for Snes and Indy Jones on Master System for £6 the lot. Jeez but that Indy game is hard...i mean "pad throwing" hard. ;)

WOW - that's fantastic!

We have car boot sales rather than garage sales in the UK, and i have never managed to get anything anywhere near as good a deal as that.  My best find was a boxed PSone, with 15 games for £25.  And i thought that was a good deal!!

i can go one step better
i got this all for free and the games are all retail with manuals and no platinum
final fantasy VII
final fantasy VIII
final fantasy IX
Tomba 1
Tomba 2
metal gear solid
modded ps1

all in really good condition sold tomba 1 and 2 for £35 on ebay each the following week
this is all from something called freecycle

Yeah the closest I had was FF8, FF9, and Crash Bandicoot 1 all black label and in good condition for 10 bucks at Gamecrazy when they were getting rid of all their PS1 games way back. Got FF7 from a friend for christmas Black label plus a strategy guide but the discs were 'borrowed'. Thankfully I have friends in that persons neighborhood so it's just a matter of time...

So for 10 bucks my friend gives me these N64 games:
-Mario Kart 64
-Mario Tennis
-Blast Corps
-Star Wars Shadows of the Empire
-Pokemon Snap
He's got 5 more games in his locker that I'll get to when I have another ten bucks :D

aaaand, for $5 I got an N64 memory card and GBC adaptor from another friend. Too bad I never get the time to use this stuff :P
