$71??  Holy crap, I'm going to a gaming convention in less than a week and I was going to sell the same thing minus the games for $20.  Holy shit dude, $71??

inorite?  I would have paid $70, tops.  But $71?  What a noob.

Seriously, if he's happy with his purchase, what's the big deal?  I've spent more money and gotten far worse out of it in my life.  For example, I paid the Founder's subscription to Hellgate: London.  I still feel like an idiot for doing that, and that was almost four years ago.

Woah, kinda sounds a little rude there.  The big deal is that I might as well sell my stuff for $70 if people are willing to pay for that much.  I don't understand why, when at salvation armies there are always nintendo peripherals for $1.99 each and systems usually for $4.99.  I guess I am spoiled with the stores near me, but I would have never thought that someone would buy a front loader NES for $70+.  Top loader (toaster) version, yeah I can see that, but not the original front loader.  If he is happy with that purchase, awesome, however Ebay is even cheaper than that!

Best luck I've had at the Goodwill two blocks from my house was Back to the Future 2 & 3 for NES. They only thing they've been good for is $1 CDs and costume supplies. Even with a debit card there are certain things I can't buy online due to lack of paypal/things with my mother/student account/etc. I settled for the ripoff retail store with graduation cash. Not my proudest moment but eeeh I wanted it.

Well did it atleast have a new 72pin connector? I've seen refurbished bundles on ebay for about 50bucks. So if you got the new 72 pin and a nice grey system I say it may have been worth the price.

I don't think so. This one's pretty shoddy so I've gotta open it up again and clean it out. Anything I should keep in mind about this thing?

Damn, well can you order one? Its like 5 bucks and it makes a world of a difference. Other than that the nes isn't complex. Off the top of my head there should be about 5-6 screws on the bottom, and like 6-8 on the inside aluminum covering. Canned air for the inside and soap&water and an old toothbrush for the shell.

I caved and bought a NES at Play N Trade. 2 controllers, front loading control deck, Dr. Mario, and Pinball. $71.00. I feel dirty but oh so happy.
Wow! 70$, I bought one for 60$ of ebay with 2 controllers, Orange Zapper, RF switch, Power Brick, and CIB SMB1, SMB2, SMB3, Duck Hunt, and a Mario Bros with sleeve and manual. The pin Connecter needs repair though.

I went to 7 thrift stores and have come to the conclusion that the 80's NES games are starting to dry up. I usually find the common stuff like SMB, Rad Racer, Excite Bike...etc. but now it's getting super hard to find these things, atleast around my area.

I've come up with in the last 2 weeks is Tiny Toons Adventure, The Lone Ranger, Ninja Gaiden II.  I have to go back to the store pick up Chip N' Dale: rescue rangers, Strider, and Mappy Land. The owners of the store are starting to raise their prices because they're calling them "Antique Collectables"  :D

Just keep at it. My father and brother in law picked up a box with some Nintendo Power magazines, roughly 25 manuals for NES games, a SNes, AV cord, and Controller for 3 bucks. Also snagged a PSONE with flip screen, controller, mem card, and tony hawk 4 for $5.

last weekend I went out and got 3 hint books ($6), 2 cds ($1), and a GBA SP with carry case, 2 wall chargers, a car charger Bratz (yay) and Pokemon Crystal ($5)

Just keep at it. Eventually you find some good stuff.

I got a Gamecube with two controllers, Super Smash Bros in the disc tray, a Game Boy Player attached (no disc), and a 214 block memory card for $10.

Oh, and a pair of these for another $10. :D

Two Worlds II - 8 bucks
Nes with controller and light gun and mario/duck hunt (No cables) - 4 bucks
Arcade Pad for SNES - 3 bucks

I love Flea Markets and Yard sales.

The Two Worlds just needed a legit 360 case.  and now it is complete.

And a few random cds at .50 cents to 2 bucks on average.

Saturday's haul was only a KH II hint book for 2 bucks and an original gameboy for a buck. (needs battery door)

Lucked out pretty good at video game yard sale yesterday! A guy just moved into town and apperently his old neighbors use to own a video game store and pretty much gave him everything for free to sell. Big boxes filled with Atari 2600, NES, SNES, Genesis, PS2, XBox, Xbox 360 games all for sale for cheap. I was pretty much the first one there and raided the whole lot of anyhting worth buying (for me anyway). Apperently he has more boxes to bring down for next saturday including more Genesis games, PS1 and Saturn games. Better beleive Ill be the first one there to raid those boxes!

Atari 2600:
- Mario Bros

Coleco Vision:
- Subroc

NES:
- Flying Dragon
- Phantom Fighter

SNES:
- Gun Force
- Robotrek
- Run Saber

Genesis:
- Raiden Trad (Complete)
- Two Crude Dudes

Dreamcast:
- Power Stone (Complete)
- Mouse (Complete)

Game Boy Advance:
- Dynasty Warriors Advance
- Sonic Battle

Everything for $40! Cant wait to see what els he brings down!

sweet grab on the nes carts. I think my favorite of all the ones you got would have to be Crystalis.

Im a bit jealous you managed to get a copy of Robotrek Chad. I can't seem to find any RPGs I need at low or anywhere reasonable prices.
