This was a week ago but I managed to nab 5 NES games and two controllers for $10. The stuff in question was:Super Mario Bros. 3Punch Out!!The Legend of ZeldaZelda 2Donkey Kong 3White Dualshock 2 controllerGrey NES Zapper
And I still don't own an NES...

I caved and bought a NES at Play N Trade. 2 controllers, front loading control deck, Dr. Mario, and Pinball. $71.00. I feel dirty but oh so happy.
$71?? Holy crap, I'm going to a gaming convention in less than a week and I was going to sell the same thing minus the games for $20. Holy shit dude, $71??

Holy shit dude, $71??If anything I can say I regretted renewing my XBL subscription more than this. I'm kinda pissed because they tagged the console as only $35 but charged me $55. I got a free controller and 50% off one game as well, and just the second controller and game ran it up another $10. (The rest was tax). The PnT people in that store really don't care much about the stuff they sell. I spent some time last night cleaning probably 25+ years of thick dirt out of one of the controllers to get it to even work. I'm about to take apart the console just because whoever did it last didn't put the screws in right. At least everything is functional when you take the dirt out of the equation. (Edit: Took apart the console and it's in perfect condition. After that ass of a controller combined with how badly the NES functions normally I was worried )
BTW: Did you do the internationalisatiopn (or check was it already done) when you opened the NES?

I've yet to check or do so, but I definitely will when the time calls for it. My collection is still entirely US at this point.

I've spent more money and gotten far worse out of it in my life. For example, I paid the Founder's subscription to Hellgate: London. I still feel like an idiot for doing that, and that was almost four years ago.

The big deal is that I might as well sell my stuff for $70 if people are willing to pay for that much. I don't understand why, when at salvation armies there are always nintendo peripherals for $1.99 each and systems usually for $4.99. I guess I am spoiled with the stores near me, but I would have never thought that someone would buy a front loader NES for $70+. Top loader (toaster) version, yeah I can see that, but not the original front loader. If he is happy with that purchase, awesome, however Ebay is even cheaper than that!
