recreate nintendo red in CMYK

Hi guys,

is there anybody who can help me recreating the nintendo red? everytime I try to print some artwork I made the colors look dull, because I've been using RGB.

Now I'm trying to start over but with the correct CMYK colors.....

You’d need to know what red and color print profile(s) Nintendo is using in the first place before doing so.

Personally, I’ve had no issues getting a visual match by printing in RGB using absolute true red.  The Nintendo logo has never appeared to leam more towards crimson or scarlet as best I can tell.

If you really want to get picky about it, you can go to their site, download any image of their logo (and if you’re crafty, you can grab an SVG of most every logo on their site), sample the color, then go from there.

Hey, sorry if this is off-topic but I'm having a bit of trouble working with CMYK and was wondering if you could help. I know it's harder to get vibrant colours in CMYK so I have adjusted to get as much vibrancy as I can in that colour profile. When I go to save as a jpeg or Save As for web and try to save as a png-24, my colours end up coming out wayyy more vibrant because of how I've adjusted them. The colours are off compared to in Photoshop even though I set colour management to the document profile when saving. Even in the preview window when I go to save as a png, it looks how it does in Photoshop and then when it actually saves, the colours are off. I started working with CMYK so I wouldn't have this problem when I print but trying to save them to share on the site has been a problem.

It might work out better to make a color profile for your printer instead of trying to apply one to your images. That way you could leave them in RGB, and your preferences would still be applied when you print.

PNG was/is created for web viewing ONLY, thus it's based on a non-CMYK palette.  There is no such thing as a CMYK PNG.
