Some of use are using the Extron matrix component switchers. That same company makes HDMI matrix switchers, but I have yet to see any of them selling for reasonable prices. It's not surprising. Those component switchers are thousands when they are new, but they go for cheap when they are used because there isn't much demand for them. The HDMI matrix switchers are super expensive when new, but unfortunately, lots of other people can use them, so they keep a higher value when used. I have a feeling that we may start seeing more of these on the market in a few years for somewhat lower prices. Pretty much everything runs through HDMI now, so it's not that uncommon for people to need multiple HDMI inputs (even if they aren't into gaming). There is actually enough demand that we might see multiple companies trying to get into the market. Unfortunately, there isn't much available yet.
