I've seen a teaser trailer for "Dance Flick" and have me thinking "Oh no, is this from the same people who made the crappy movies like Disaster Movie, Scary Movie, Epic Movie, etc.?" I did a little googling and found out that, yes, it is in deed made by the people who had bought "Scary Movie" (and tried to overshadow me by mentioning their groundbreaking series "In Living Color.")

Of course, "Dance Flick" is a parody of an array of other dance movies, including "Step Up," just to name a few, but not in a "ha-ha" kind of way. It's more of a WTF kind of thing.

Omg! I can't believe they are still making those kinds of movies, and by the look of the trailer, I just have a feeling that it may just suck. (The worse having to be "Disaster Movie" according to reviewers) I mean, a pregnant woman dancing (I think it's impersonating M.I.A.) until he "spit" out a newborn. Is that funny or is that random? :P

So, have you seen the trailer?

I thought the first Scary Movie was funny but just went downhill after that.  :-\

I never saw the first two, and don't really plan on it. SM 3&4 are nowhere close to the point I'd want to watch them again, but I do confess I laughed while watching them.

The first two Scary Movies were made by the Wayans Bros, and I didn't find them to be so bad. Then the Naked Gun people took over for the next few, and it all went down from there...
Even though I hear the Wayans Bros are doing this one, after Little Man and White Chicks I stopped caring about most comedy cash ins :P

I HATE ALL THESE MOVIES!!!
I work with mostly Puerto Rican people. THEY seem to LOVE these kind of movies.....and Tyler perry movies.

I'll watch all types of movies, and I love funny movies. But those types of movies I feel are just stupid.

I am not a fan of the Waynes Brothers... BUT!, I loved In Living Color

Ditto. In Living Color is actually funny. :)

I noticed the fact, especially it uses the word "movie" in the title, that was made by the Wayan brothers for the "scary movies" which is either a hit or miss, and then there were those like "epic movie" & "disaster movie" that was actually created by Friedberg and Seltzer and it bombed in reviews.

I "might" consider watching Scary Movie, but only if it's on TV.
