That was really stupid how they pretended Final Fight Guy at Blockbuster was a Japanese import. You'd think to find a Super Famicom cartridge with the tabs cut out inside. But, nope, just a regular (but limited) normal American SNES game, translated into English with the girls (they are GIRLS, I don't care what anyone says!) replaced with guys and all of the other censoring from the original US Final Fight. Marketing gimmick at its finest. Fun trivia I guess, Final Fight Guy (orange box, "supposedly" normal box in Canada), RoboCop Vs. the Terminator (Plastic box, partially), Mario Paint, Super Bomberman, Super Scope 6, Earthbound, Lethal Enforcers (large boxes), Mountain Bike Rally and MBR/ Speed Racer (no boxes) were the only US games not released in "normal" boxes, not counting the competition games. |
