Hey guys, need some feedback from all of you. someone is offering me a Sony Trinitron 29' tv, but i don't know if in that tv i will be able play with the zapper ligh gun or the super scope. i want one, but the one that i want must be able to play with those things. Is it a CRT? If so, then yeah, old light gun setups should work fine. |

Not all CRTs are good to go with light gun games. The ones with flat screens (as opposed to curved) can be hit or miss. I have a flat screen CRT Sony Trinitron and it works perfect with NES, SNES, Genesis, Saturn, PS1 and PS2 light guns. However, I have some intermittent issues with the SMS light gun and the Super Scope Six does not work with it at all. I'm not familiar with that specific model, but I would be willing to bet that most light guns will work with it, but don't expect the Super Scope Six to work. |

Also, in my opinion, if the TV is free, take it and see if it works. If it isn't perfect, keep it as a placeholder until you find a model that works. That TV will be great for 99% of your retro gaming. |

Interesting. I do not have either of those guns and I also have a flat-screen Trinitron. Good knowledge. What is it about these two guns specifically that doesn't play nice with a flat-screen Trinitron, for my own reference in case I get them in the future? |
