I bought some old pc-games for my "new" win98/DOS machine. They advertised them as CD-Versions and I bought most of the games pictured for 3 Euros.

What I got... was not CD-Keepcases, like I thought, but BIG BOX PC GAMES! Most of them in PRETTY GOOD CONDITION, too :D
Tomb Raider I was a bit smashed (thanks DHL!) and the slipcover of Icewind Dale is not perfect anymore. Below that cover (the same with Outcast)
everything is in great condition.

Not pictured: American McGee's Alice.

A year ago I got 3 cases of UGC and have not regretted it one bit. Good luck to you.

Thanks! I've been putting it off for ages since I didn't want to shell out the $ for shipping :(. But it's definitely worth it. Slowly gearing up to building a games room. All my games are stuffed into a wardrobe at the moment and I've lost track of what I've got.  Can't wait to have it all out on display.

I recently moved and got the chance to put everything into a single TV stand and bookcase, it's seriously the best feeling. So nice to be able to see everything you've collected out in one spot. Definitely something to look forward to.

Sadly I still have a 24 year old stepson living in what is to become my game room.

Made me think of this

ROFLMAO. I wish I could do that. It is not that I don't like him.... he just lacks motivation to go out and get his own life. This year he is 24 and still lives with me and his Mom, has no job, is not attending school currently, is only a sophomore when he should be at least a Junior with 4 years of slacking off in school, and to top it all off his Girlfriend from when he was 17 dumped him..... Nothing seems to get thru to him.

:: looks around..... and quietly gets off the soapbox::

excuse me...

All good man!  Gotta vent sometimes.  I personally lived home until 27.  Although I was saving to move put here to my new home in Seattle from CT.  ME and the GF did it with no jobs and knew nobody here.  6 years later we absolutely love it and was the second best decision iI ever made.

That's awesome! My wife and I did the exact same thing this past November, but Ohio to SC. Still don't know anyone here, except Coworkers. Didn't have any jobs, just wanted to move away from the cold. So I don't think the wife would like WA much, possibly colder than OH. Lol.

My pickups from my business trip to Louisville.  Nothing super crazy, but everything was cheap and I thought the Breeder's Cup World Thoroughbred Championships was really fitting since I was in Louisville.

These games put me at exactly 1,999 games.  I figure I want to make game 2,000 special so I'm waiting until I find something interesting.

Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."

Oh man, you were in Louisville? I'm only an hour away. Would have opened up the man cave for you if I'd known

I appreciate it, but I was there for work, so my free time was pretty limited.  Basically, after dinner, I stopped by a few places I knew about and that was it.

Only a few  gaming related pick ups this month, but one of them is FUCKING AWESOME! (if you're into a certain area of collecting...)

"What's that?

Is it the only other game you wanted for PGM 2?"

Oooh yes

I honestly thought I'd never see this below £450 outside of a specialist arcade board shop,  so finding it for £190 on eBay, you're damn right I clicked buy-it-now! Took a few days to get here, all the way from sunny Greece, but I'm happy to finally have it!

Some rather significant/cool pickups lately. Finally got a Minish Cap GBA SP.  I’ve dearly wanted one since they were released (and nobody would sell me one because I was outside of Europe). A seriously awesome Shadow of the Colossus JP LE for the PS4. Shenmue 2 NTSC DC repro with English dialogue. A slew of titles from Mega Cat Studios who we (RCG) are collaborating with on a regular basis. A retrofighters controller for the N64. Just finished up a run of these display stands for them. Such a fantastic upgrade I’ve rthe wonky original N64 controllers. They seemed so great back in 1996, but they have NOT aged well IMO.

Inside the SotC set

The owner of Mega Cat and I met at the very inception of RCG and have been working towards collaborating ever since. He also owns an electronics recycling business (which is where most of his income comes from). While I was down for a visit yesterday he and I walked through the warehouse for some high class trash picking. This is a tiny sample of what I got. A slew of far larger and more substantial items will be delivered by truck in a few weeks. All of this stuff works BTW.

Crestron (like Extron, but I’m told is better) AV selector.
A couple of tiny PCs that’ll make great emulation consoles.
A larger, but still small PC that’ll likely find it’s way into a mini arcade machine of some sort
A few monitor mounts
A 30 count box of nice heatsink-backed PC fans (no idea why I took them)
Funny camera for projecting documents and such on to a monitor/projector

Industrial power strip (these things are like $400 new!) and massive soldering mat

Not that I’ve ever particularly wanted one, but I now have a really nice condition Sony PVM

And finally what was supposed to be a box of some GBC replacement shells that turned out to be roughly 2/3 actual GBC consoles (37 complete consoles).  He didn’t even know that he had them.  Oops!  Trying to figure out if I’m going to end up buying them from him, or send them back. Definitely a lot more valuable than ~60 Chinese shells.

Cool stuff wiggy, I checked out Mega Cat Studios games at MGC this year.  Think I played some Log Jammers lol

First off, a cool thing came in the mail on Friday. I had a saved eBay search for an Adventure of Link manual as my re-release version had the wrong one with it and this popped up. It's a pretty nice CIB Canadian copy. It wasn't listed as such and made no mention of it in the listing. Ended up getting it for a pretty good price :D

Secondly, some flea market finds. Animaniacs was a cool find as its kind of an uncommon game. The strategy guides were a $1 each and Comix Zone is an upgrade (No, no CD). Also took advantage of the Sony sale to trade up to a new DS4 for $16 at GameStop.

A bunch of games!  Some sealed other used.  Either way MORE GAMES.

Finally found this at a Target!

Mix bag of local game shops and eBay buys.

And some games from a ResetERA fellow forum member.

  • I'm kind of idle... at least for now.

A Famicom Mini title. What a surprise (I'm not really that surprised here.)!  :o
Have you actually attempted to create a cover out of a box yet?

I actually have a few FM games.  I did not attempt any cover/ box boxes since this is CIB.

Forgot to post this.  A coworkers good friend had her son pass away a little bit ago and was cleaning up his stuff and wanted to know if he knew anyone that could use this.  So I got it.  Sad how I got it but he and the mother both said at least it is going to someone who will appreciate it.

Kept the PS3 at my desk at work!
