Some rather significant/cool pickups lately. Finally got a Minish Cap GBA SP. I’ve dearly wanted one since they were released (and nobody would sell me one because I was outside of Europe). A seriously awesome Shadow of the Colossus JP LE for the PS4. Shenmue 2 NTSC DC repro with English dialogue. A slew of titles from Mega Cat Studios who we (RCG) are collaborating with on a regular basis. A retrofighters controller for the N64. Just finished up a run of these display stands for them. Such a fantastic upgrade I’ve rthe wonky original N64 controllers. They seemed so great back in 1996, but they have NOT aged well IMO.

Inside the SotC set

The owner of Mega Cat and I met at the very inception of RCG and have been working towards collaborating ever since. He also owns an electronics recycling business (which is where most of his income comes from). While I was down for a visit yesterday he and I walked through the warehouse for some high class trash picking. This is a tiny sample of what I got. A slew of far larger and more substantial items will be delivered by truck in a few weeks. All of this stuff works BTW.
Crestron (like Extron, but I’m told is better) AV selector.
A couple of tiny PCs that’ll make great emulation consoles.
A larger, but still small PC that’ll likely find it’s way into a mini arcade machine of some sort
A few monitor mounts
A 30 count box of nice heatsink-backed PC fans (no idea why I took them)
Funny camera for projecting documents and such on to a monitor/projector

Industrial power strip (these things are like $400 new!) and massive soldering mat

Not that I’ve ever particularly wanted one, but I now have a really nice condition Sony PVM

And finally what was supposed to be a box of some GBC replacement shells that turned out to be roughly 2/3 actual GBC consoles (37 complete consoles). He didn’t even know that he had them. Oops! Trying to figure out if I’m going to end up buying them from him, or send them back. Definitely a lot more valuable than ~60 Chinese shells.
