I was a late adopter too.  I bought my Wii U the November before the Switch came out.  It really is a great console.  It's just a shame that Nintendo didn't handle it correctly.  The odd thing about the Wii U is that nearly every good game for it has been ported to either the Switch or 3DS making it a nearly obsolete console.  I'm glad I have mine, but if I didn't own one by now, I probably would never get one.
