Is there a number?

Tech13:

So a few months back I heard of a guy from up north coming down south looking to buy whole collections.
The guy had a large box truck and was offering cash exchanged inside a bank.  Some of my friends actually dumped their collections for the cash.  He got my email address and started asking what I had and if I was looking to sell.

I thought about it for a long time and decided that for the right price anything is for sale. I sent him an inventory  of my collection and he was interested. I let him know that I was not looking to sell my collection but if he insisted on buying my entire collection that I wanted $350,000 and not a penny less.

He took 2 days to talk with his partners and said that he would need a larger profit margin.

So my question is. if someone was going to offer you cash for your whole collection, how big would the number need to be, or is there a number?

Nice way to brag that your collection is actually worth about that much... :)

Yeah I could sell but I have no clue of the price.

I'd love to see photos haha. I'll be putting a games room together in a couple of months, so It'll be interesting to see what I've actually got. If I was to estimate now I'd say close to 80k worth of goodies. Wouldn't let it go for anything less. Every time I get a new game it's been going into the draws. Although my latest acquisition for like $25 was a sealed copy of Xenosaga III, gotta pump up them numbers!

I'm selling all kinds of stuff. Don't really care about prices. I used to collect in the 80s and 90s (toys, games) but I don't really collect anymore. I just start my eBay auctions at 1.00 with actual shipping and see what happens.
