Hi.

I stumbled onto this site a week or two ago while looking for original scans of box art.  I was in the process of making my own DS covers for GBA games (so mine have slightly different dimensions).  Anyway, I still have the scans (300dpi, hardware descreened) for the following GBA games:

Advance Wars 2
Breath of Fire
Castlevania Aria of Sorrow
Castlevania Circle of the Moon
Castlevania Harmony of Dissonance
Chu Chu Rocket
Final Fantasy I & II
Final Fantasy IV
Fire Emblem
Fire Emblem 2
F-Zero
Guilty Gear
Harvest Moon
Kingdom Hearts
Kirby Nightmare in Dream Land
Legend of Mana
Mario vs. Donkey Kong
Mega Man & Bass
Pokemon Sapphire
Rayman
Rebel Star Tactical Command
Riviera
Rockman EXE (Japanese version of Megaman Battle Network)
Sigma Star Saga
Super Mario Advance
Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo
Yoshi's Island
Zelda Four Swords
Zelda Minish Cap

Yeah, I think those are all fairly common, so if those are all already on your site, it wouldn't surprise me.  Anyway, I had scanned all of those and made up DS box labels before I found your site, so you can imagine how that must have felt a bit like wasted effort... but anyway, I thought if any of these scans were needed, that would help me feel better about the use of time.  =)

I went back and added the "GAME BOY ADVANCE" text to the spines of all the art I made so it would be consistent with the labels I downloaded from here... boy that was fun. ;)

Anyway, I don't wanna sound too bitter!  This is a great site.  I printed labels and put them in cases last weekend, and this weekend I cut out an area in boxes for the for the instruction manuals, but I'm finally done!  (Except for a few Gameboy games -- I ran out of DS boxes.)

It might be nice to print out manuals in the future...  Is there any way to browse the site for games that already have manuals uploaded?  I guess it's a lot more work, compared to box scanning, huh?

We do host some manuals. I should probably expand the search page to include a manual search.

  • ...and that's the bottom line
from your list we would need Rockman EXE, there is a Battle Network cover but the Japanese version would be good for variety. As for Legend Of Mana, did you mean Sword of Mana? Or is there a Legend Of Mana game on the GBA?

That would be cool.

Since it's so much work to scan manuals, maybe people could do "trades."  (e.g., "I'll scan Game X and you scan Game Y, and we'll both submit the scans to the site.")

from your list we would need Rockman EXE

Japanese GBA boxes are (guessing) about 3" tall x 6" wide.  So the art looks a little weird on a DS box, but oh well.

Yeahhh, I meant Sword of Mana.  I saw "mana.bmp" and forgot what I was supposed to be typing.

Some of the Super Mario Advance covers would be great.
