So in planning for my room I would like to know how others organize their systems on an entertainment center.
Mainly I am worried about systems and excess heat for the systems that are overly sensitive to it (like  the ps3)

For vintage consoles, I use a small book shelf for most of them.

As for my modern stuff, I don't have a picture handy but I have this TV Stand which holds my PS4, 360, Wii U, and Xbox dust collector One.

I dont have much room and I am still building my setup:

There is still missing light and some of the retro-donkey kong inspired borders.

The shelf is just a standard-shelf, lying on its side with the TV, Framemeister and Switch on top...

Old office shelving that I got for free from work.

Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."

PS VR is the one with the red light.

PS TV is to the left of that.

PS4 Camera is in the middle.

All of my current setups are just a fucking mess and I really don’t care at this point.  I barely ever have time to play anyway.

In the house. Extron randomly took a dump last week, so it’s been yanked and tossed into the workshop. My switch is behind the TV so my 5 year old doesn’t screw around with it.

Next to my desk in the workshop

And here’s where I build and test repros

No kidding.  We celebrated 4 years with my oldest this past weekend.

Ouch.  Don't tell me that.  :-\

Also, how many ways do you need to test NES or SNES games.  :D

Here's mine... Had to custom build something with my dad to be able to fit everything I wanted on it. It's a bit of a mess right now, and I've got some bits to swap in/out, but it's basically 3x 8' wide shelves

For real!  It’s crazy. He’s like a giant ball of endless energy. He always wants to play games with me (you’ll notice the LEGO dimensions portal), but has just about zero patience. He usually gets fed up after 4-5 minutes.  Then it’s back to legos...

Happy b-day to yours!  Mine actually turns 5 on the 16th, and I 40 on the 18th  :o

I’m genuinely shocked. Those things are build to take about anything you can throw at them. I have another in the shop, but t doesn’t have audio. Going to see if I can’t swap some part and get it working again. Fingers scrossed...

As far as testing goes, with so many damned retro clone consoles, it’s become a pain in the butt to check for compatibility.  But at least they’re all tax write-offs. They’re legitimately ONLY used to test games.
