UGC Instruction Manual Hold and Sleeve Texture Question
(1/2) > >>
Drakul:
So I did actually browse through the 23 pages but didn't find an answer so here goes.

I saw some UGCs at a friend's place and I have a few things that 'worry' me.
No keep in mind his were fairly old so i'm not sure if this has changed.

1- The cases didn't have anything to hold the manuals in place like in regular game cases so unless they changed it the manual is going to be bounced around. which is really a make or break factor for me.

2- The sleeve has a sort of grainy texture which might give the cover a sort of ghosted image type of look (a bit hard to explain). It resulted in the image having a fairly slight but still present grey filter on the cover. That being said my friend had printed on crap paper so it was a bit hard to tell for sure..

can anyone confirm or infirm my fears?
ngamer007:
The sleeve is the same thing on a DVD case, if printed correctly it will look glossy and nice through the acrylic sleeve on regular or matte paper.

And manuals for N64, Genesis, Super NES, etc fit snugly in the cases, although they're pushed down by the tabs a little bit on the top and bottom and will bend ever so slightly over time.  They don't shake around.
Drakul:
so I guess what he had was a different version. cause the sleeve felt ...'pigmented' if you see what i mean

for the manual I know they fit nicely but do they have the two sort of clips that hold them in place?
ngamer007:
No clips.

My UGC's have a frosted sleeve as well. To my knowledge they are all like this. :(
