What is the spine thickness of a PS3 case?  These are listed at 14mm which is wider than a standard blue ray case.  I'm just not sure if they are as wide as a normal PS3 case.

I've ordered from this place a bunch of times and the quality has been great.  I just haven't ordered these types of cases before, so I can't vouch for the correct size.

Not much better then what im replacing. Guess it couldn't hurt to try next time im near one! hehe

EDIT: Hmm $46 CAD for 50 cases. https://www.ebay.ca/itm/New-50-Pk-14-mm-Black-Media-Storage-Box-Blu-Ray-PS3-Holder-PlayStation-3-Case/182093359224?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649

I can totally relate to that. The GameStops around here are the same way.  Makes me glad I went with the DiscSox sleeves vs cases.  Saves a ton of space and no need to hunt down replacement cases.

PS3 game cases are 14mm (same as a standard DVD case).  I'm guessing they went with something a bit thicker than the standard 11mm BluRay cases to accommodate instruction manuals.  Wasn't until later in the PS3 lifecycle that it became normal not to include a manual.

I'd imagine that at this point, any PS3 game replacement cases you'll find are gonna be about the same quality.  Probably not more than one or two manufacturers still making them considering it's an old console medium and a uniquely sized case.

I'd also recommend to anyone needing replacement PS3 game cases to get them soon.  Most likely won't be too much longer that they hang around at all.  Once upon a time, it used to be easy to find those PS2 game cases with the memory card slot as a lot of people needed replacements.  Now, it's basically impossible to find newly made ones.  The same thing will happen with the PS3 cases eventually.  Though, to be fair, you'll probably still be able to find 14mm BluRay cases that house multiple discs for a good long while yet.  Those could easily substitute for a PS3 game (just take out the inner tray) and still fit the original artwork.

One thing to keep in mind when talking about PS2 cases, is that not all PS2 games came with the memory card slot.  I have several PS2 games in their original cases that don't have a memory card slot.  I believe they were all later releases in the PS2's lifecycle.

That's true.  I remember the first time I opened a new game and the case didn't have the memory card slot.  I was thoroughly convinced that someone had stolen it and re-wrapped the thing for some reason.  Then I noticed the PlayStation logo printed in there and realized they just changed case styles.  Man, those memory card ones were so convinient.  I think they even made a second change to non-logo branded cases late in the PS2 cycle as well.  Only mentioned the PS2 cases because I recall seeing online stores selling brand new replacement cases with the memore card slot in them.  Those slowly faded away.  I distinctly remember seeing several online shops also selling the style of PS3 cases with "PlayStation 3" logo embedded along the upper right hand corner as well.
