Is there any difference between the NTSC and PAL art?
Is there any difference between the master system and game gear art?

I ask because I live in the UK, I have the MS version on my want list, but I could easily pick up the GG one, currently about £10 on eBay

Looks like the MS version doesn't exist in the US. The PAL GG cover is almost the same as the MS, but the US GG version is a lot different:
