I find it so strange that they made a game based around a 30 year old movie. When I first saw this on the shelves I thought perhaps there was a new Gremlins movie on the way, but it never materialized. I'm sure there were kids who bought this game who had no idea it was based on a series of movies from the 1980s.

There are a LOT of DS games that don't yet have cover scans. It's actually a problem with pretty much every handheld Nintendo system. It just seems like the boxes these games come in are less likely to survive. Maybe because they're marketed to a younger audience who are less likely to hold on to their cases.

That and the DS, along with the Wii, was bogged down with a lot of actual garbage masquerading as "games". Lots of low-effort slap-dash touchscreen/motion control-gimmick games with half an idea behind them and backed by the "Seal of Quality". Little wonder that DS cases can still be found loose fairly easily: their owners, like tylerbgood has implied, likely just didn't care.
