Anyway, the woman goes through everything and offers me $250 credit for all of it.  I couldn't believe it.  Either she knew something I didn't, her figures were way off, or this place is seriously over priced.  So I took the credit, and immediately bought a Nintendo Switch they had in box with Mario Odysee.

So a mint Switch plus Mario cost me about $50 out of pocket, a spare PS2 and a ton of worthless games I would have never played.  :D

Nicely done. Hopefully you didn't have a gem in there you didn't know about.

I figure, one of the pawn shops I go to sells common ps1/2/3 xbox/360 and wii games for $5 each.  More collectible games are individually priced.  If they do something similar, I can't see them getting more than $250 for the games, plus $60 for the system with controllers - and that's on the higher end of things.  You got yourself a great deal from the sounds of it.

So I have been running the numbers through my head and I think I "may" have figured this out. Possibly.  So a buddy of mine works in a game store in Virginia.  he told me that usually stores will either offer one of two deals for trade ins:  credit value or half cash value (ie 20 credit or 10 cash) or credit value and 2/3 cash (ie 20 credit or 13 cash).  It depends on the store.
If this lady was new, and when I said I wasn't sure if I wanted cash or credit, she may have found the cash value and doubled it, as opposed to finding the 2/3 factor.  That might explain it.  $125 cash or $185 credit seems a bit more plausible.
Anyway, I have more doubles and extra systems laying around.  I might find out when she is working and go back.  I could use a new Neo Geo  ;)

Finally get to play those MSU-1 ROMs :D

As much as I love the MSU1 feature, I have yet to find a game where I enjoy the music BETTER than the original.  It's a cool feature to have though.
