I think you need a certain level of contributions in the forum.  I don't know exactly how much though.

Yeah, I think there are 2 or 3 different forum sections that unlock as your post count gets higher. The more you participate in the forums, the more is revealed to you! It's kind of a neat Easter egg.

There are actually 10 or 11 sections off-limits to low level members...

First the important ones:
- 1 is area for higher members where are few topics that would make life of cover sellers too easy and would atract leaching bots to eat our banwidth. Nothing there that is not available in public forums in one form or other. Access granted to proven members. Early access granted to low level members who are helpfull.

- Then there are 4 staff only areas of various degrees, of which the most secretive is directly accessible to 4 members currently.

Then there are few unimportant left overs:
- 1 is trash area where funny spam is displayed for day or so without spammers getting public views.
- 1 is kinda fuck you area where I sent assholes that are just about to be erased from memory to beg for mercy with at the same time blocking them from posting anywhere else (I believe only 1 member has gotten there and failed). New participants are always welcome there...
- 1 might be area where there are old unsorted less important duplicate topics that are cleaned or deleted (can't bother to check is it public or not). But nothing important there.
- 1 is for a member that needed to clean few of his topics without cluttering the public boards. Work is still bit unfinished... after 4 or 5 years.
- 1 was used to create few helpfull topics again without wanting to clutter the public view.
- 1 was area to think about and design few things again without wanting to clutter the public view.

Man, I could have used that one while putting together my SNES UGC Master List. Juggling between post previews and text documents, then trying to populate all the posts before anyone commented was quite a challenge. I've got plans to create more Master Lists in the future, as well as an updated Template post. Perhaps I could gain temporary access to one of those topics when I get to work on the next list?

So what are the requisites to see some of these threads, I don't have access to any of that.

Most require you to be an admin or above which is a title only a few members possess and comes with a heap of responsibilities. I believe the "Member's Only" section unlocks after you become a full member, which requires 100 posts. The "Maps & Guides" section unlocks when you become a hero member, which requires 500 posts. There isn't much to see in there though, it's only 9 topics, most will less than 10 posts, and the majority are from 2014. I think everything there is posted elsewhere in the forums anyway.

So basically just keep contributing to the conversations on this site and engaging in the community and you'll gain access to these two sections!
