recreate the entire first level of NES super mario bros. now that. would be impressive :D

It would also be the length of my driveway! I'm not sure I have that kinda space!

Recreate it in segments then haha, or do a bowser bridge boss fight, that'd be cool 2

Holy heck, this thread has 10,892 views! Thank you so much for the interest everyone! Without your support, I would've stopped long ago.

Let me take this opportunity to remind anyone who sees this that I do have a small side buisness selling sprites. My prices are fair and the quality is clearly visible in each of the photos. Prices start at just $5 and I'll ship anywhere in the world and take on any custom order.

Just a few days ago I got an order for Kain and Cecil from Final Fantasy IV. Here's the results.

If you'd like to place an order, all you have to do is message me. I'm a little busy at present, but I'll do my best to get back to asap.

You've inspired me to give it a go myself, found a local toy supplier that stocks the Hama beads, so brought the "g/f" a pack to check them out. If its as good as you make it look i might invest in some of the individual colour packs :D .... mario level recreation here we come :D

Update!

Here's a Super Mario Bros. Coinbox that you can use to hold actual coins! Or in my case, SD cards and card readers and such.

Okay I think I've answered all pms so far. For anyone who didn't get an answer, try again, but yeah. Basically the deal is that the ? Bank there is for sale, but is a lot more work to get it correct than most others, hence a higher cost. I can make custom cases as well, but you need to be very specific in what you want when you message me.

Still more to come. Thanks for all the interest everyone.

Some drink coasters featuring some of my favorite sprites. On the bottom of each I've glued a layer of cardboard to absorb any small amounts of condensation that might seep through. These are a big hit at parties.

So another update. When Megaman 9 came out, I was....very...excited to say the least. One of the projects I had in mind beyond the portrait set was to do the giant Megaman that appeared at the titlescreen

and after a lot of work, I did just that.

Fully finished, large 1:1 scale Rockman charging into action as seen on the titlescreen of Megaman 9. This one ain't small. Again I simply rotated it because I thought Megaman should charge to the right, towards the future!

For your coasters, instead of cardboard, have you considered using an absorbent cork?

I was thinking that as well. Because cardboard, once wet, is naasttty

Yes, that would work too, but I use a free material I have in abundance. The backing is only to prevent the smallest water drops to ruin the surface of the table. It isn't intended to be wet. In fact you make these with no backing at all, but I find that putting just a thin layer helps.

No glue used. The beads are fused together by applying heat from an iron.

The more heat used the more the beads melt together. Too much and you can ruin what you're doing, which is especially a problem on very large scale projects. How do you evenly apply heat to something that's several times larger than the iron? If you fuse everything and it becomes one solid piece, then it looks like crap. The trick is applying a measured amount of heat, and I only do it to one side. This means the sprites end up looking the best they can while still remaining intact. It took my years to perfect this. It's not nearly as easy as it might sound.

I appriciate everyone who has contacted me with orders, but I just want everyone to know I make these because I truly love doing so. it's not about the money.
