--- Quote from: the7k on June 13, 2009, 11:06:11 PM ---Did Mega Man: The Wily Wars for the Genesis/Mega Drive the originally-conceived story of Mega Man 3 in tact? I would think it should, considering the extra time they had to polish the trilogy, but I guess that depends on how involved Inafune was. --- End quote --- This is an interesting point I've never thought about. Wily Wars is the English version of Rockman Mega World, which was really an omake rockman collection. Like the 5 Rockman World games on the gameboy, Mega World is a spin off not considered canon. While it would have been awesome for Capcom to have "finished" Rockman 3 in Mega World, sadly they didn't, and due to some changes including the addition of slowdown in areas the NES didn't have (while correcting areas it did), in many ways the Mega World version of 3 is slightly worse than the original. That said, Rockman Mega World is still a great game. As usual, the PAL version runs 20% slower, so its well worth the effort to track down the JP version or play the PAL version on an emulator that can make up for the 50hz. Anyway! moving on! Rockman 4! A new ambition! Portraits of the soviet robots from Megaman 4. From top to bottom, left to right: Ringman, Diveman, Skullman, Pharaohman, Brightman, Toadman, Drillman, Dustman. Note that these sprites are color enhanced to reflect their original artwork, not the NES color pallet. |

Portraits of the robots from the last of the NES Megaman games, Megaman 6. From top to bottom, left to right: Blizzardman, Windman, Flameman, Plantman, Megaman, Tomahawkman, Yamatoman, Knightman, and Centaurman. Note that these sprites are color enhanced to reflect their original artwork, not the NES color pallet. With this, all six Famicom Rockman games have had their robot masters portraits done by me. Next up is Rockman 7! |

Portraits of the robots from the first SNES Megaman Classic game, Megaman 7. These are all custom sprites from Rockman 7 FC. I edited them in the style of the older NES portraits and recolored them correctly. From top to bottom, left to right: Springman, Freezeman, Slashman, Cloudman, Junkman, Turboman, Burstman, and Shademan. Note that although these are custom sprites, these sprites are color enhanced to reflect their original artwork and SNES colors, not the NES color pallet. Next will be Rockman 8 Metal Heroes. Stay tuned! |
