Doh!! Even though I've been coming here for ages and this is a thriving retro gaming community, it never dawned on me to share with you good folks my hobby until now! So lets get right into it!

I've something that I think this community would be interested in seeing. Since I was a kid, I've loved craftwork. Making things out of wood, homemade christmas ornaments, that sort of thing. For about a year now, I've taken up a sort of unusual hobby. How could I combine my love of craftwork with my other favorite hobby - ratro gaming? The answer: fuse beads.

Fuse beads, a simple craft meant for children to create simple shapes, is based on a grid format, just as pixels are in sprites. Doing some guesswork originally, then finally getting serious with actual spritesheets, I've since made many sprites.

As some of you guys already know, I'm a huge Rockman fan, almost bordering an obsession. I'd like to show you guys what I've made! I've gone to great lengths to make sure that my sprites adhere to the NES color pallet as closely as possible in general (meaning they are never miscolored) but I also adhere to their original full-color designs, and recolor the sprites to match what they would look in in artwork as opposed to the limited amount of colors the NES could produce for them.

For those interested, I do indeed sell these. I do custom orders, I ship worldwide and charge varied amounts depending on the order. If you want to place an order, PM me. But really, thats not the main reason why I'm here posting.  I just want to share with you all what I've made.

So anyway, enough of my typing, here's my sprite works! All images are clickable to see a larger version.

Megaman Classic Sprites first.

Bosses from Megaman 1. From left to right and top to bottom: Dr. Light, Rush, Protoman, Megaman, Roll, Cutman, Gutsman, Iceman, Bombman, Fireman, Elecman.

Bosses from Megaman 2. From left to right and top to bottom: Metalman, Airman, Bubbleman, Quickman, Crashman, Flashman, Heatman, Woodman. Flashman, Crashman, and Bubbleman have been color enhanced beyond the capabilities of the NES color pallet. I based their proper colors on official character artwork.

Bosses from Megaman 3. From left to right and top to bottom: Needleman, Magnetman, Geminiman, Hardman, Topman, Snakeman, Sparkman, Shadowman. Snakeman has been color enhanced slightly by adding the red snake eyes he should have.

Bosses from Megaman 4. From left to right and top to bottom: Brightman, Toadman, Drillman, Pharaohman, Ringman, Dustman, Diveman, Skullman.

Bosses from Megaman 5. From left to right and top to bottom: Gravityman, Waveman, Stoneman, Gyroman, Starman, Chargeman, Napalmman, Crystalman.
Note that all these sprites have all been color enhanced beyond the capabilities of the NES color pallet. I based their proper colors on official character artwork.

Bosses from Megaman 6. From left to right and top to bottom: Blizzardman, Centaurman, Flameman, Knightman, Plantman, Windman, Tomahawkman, Yamatoman.
Again, note that these sprites have all been color enhanced beyond the capabilities of the NES color pallet. I based their proper colors on official character artwork.

Bosses from Megaman 7 FC. From left to right and top to bottom: Freezeman, Junkman, Burstman, Cloudman, Springman, Slashman, Shademan, Turboman.
Note that these sprites have all been color enhanced beyond the capabilities of the NES color pallet. I based their proper colors on third 16-bit sprites as well as official character artwork.

Bosses from Megaman 8 FC. From left to right and top to bottom: Tanguman, Astroman, Swordman, Clownman, Searchman, Frostman, Gernademan, Aquaman.
Note that these sprites have all been color enhanced beyond the capabilities of the NES color pallet. I based their proper colors on official character artwork.

Bosses from Megaman 9. From left to right and top to bottom: Concreteman, Tornadoman, Splashwoman, Plugman, Jewelman, Magmaman, Hornetman, Galaxyman.
Note that these sprites have all been color enhanced beyond the capabilities of the NES color pallet. I based their proper colors on official character artwork.

"I'm too sexy for 16-bit!" I made this Splashwoman sprite  before Megaman 9 even came out! I just based it on screenshots!

I've got more, but this is all I'm doing to cram into a single post for now.

Let me know what you guys think!

Time for more.

This is a series of various sprites. You've got a series of Tetris blocks, Bub from Bobble Bobble, Shantae from one of the GBC's best games of the same name, a custom made Zero Suit 8-bit Samus, Luigi, a ? Block and a Koopa troopa from SMB1, DigDug, The Wizard from my favorite childhood C64 game, and finally a bead sprite Famicom.

Various sprites. The bottom right sprite is suppose to be Super Joe in Megaman sprite style, but it actually ends up looking more like Tomonobu Itagaki. 8)

Sigma from Megaman Xtreme 1, color corrected to match his 16-bit sprite From MMX1.

More various sprites. This Link was actually from a stitch pattern for a pillow. Samus is from the Japanese FDS version of Metroid's save management system, Super Joe for Bionic Commando, and Sonic from Sonic the Hedgehog for the Gamegear. Sonic is too yellow for his own good, but it was done on a whim.

My first true 16-bit sprite, Terra Branford, the main character and heroine of the SNES classic, Final Fantasy VI.

Again, tell me what you guys think!

Pretty much, or I use spritesheets.

As a tribute to the Famicom World community, I made this a bit back.

More various sprites I've made. Mario, Balloon Fighter, Floatland (FFL3), Rockin' Megaman, Metalman and Airman.

Here's some more Rockman sprites.

More Rockman. Here's X from Xtreme recolored, Kalinka from MM4, Ran from the infamous Bob & George webcomic, a Met, Classic Rockman and two custom hacks I did: Rockman.EXE and Zero as he appears in the Zero series.

Enjoy guys

Time to show you guys my big sprites!

Super Pig [another Famicom World tribute]

Not to toot my own horn, but I think I outdid myself here as this massive sprite truly is something to behold. It's huge. I starting doing this not really thinking of the large scale it would eventually be

Fully finished large 1:1 scale Rockman from Megaman 6. This was the first large Rockman I created and is actually the smallest. The MM7 Rockman is about 3x larger!

Fully finished, extremely large Rockman from Megaman 7 using the NES color pallet. This sprite is the largest I have made, measuring approx. 14 x 14". Standard NES Megaman sprite for scale.

Hatsune Miku!

I present to you the famed Vocaloid singer, Miku appears in all her beady-goodness!

This Miku is designed in the style of the GBA Pokémon Trainers. Just imagine facing off against Miku - I bet she'd just use a bunch of Farfetch'd.

Two sprites I did a long time ago. God do I love Megaman 2.

A duo that need no introduction, Jessie and James of Team Rocket burst to life as my latest pixelart project.

The sprites of course come from Pokémon Yellow, but I've color corrected them slightly edited some of their features and also separated the point where James' rose and Jessie' hair connected in the original sprite due to the Gameboy's spacing limitations.

Cape Mario

Can you believe that I haven't done any SMW sprites yet!? This is my first step to rectify this problem!

3D- E Tank

Yeah, I just made a 3D sprite. Did your head explode yet?

Here's more.

Link for Link to the Past, slightly edited to give him his signature blonde hair instead of that creepy pink whatever that was present in the original sprite.

Simon Belmont from the original Castlevania armed with the legendary whip, Vampire Killer.

the original Bionic Commando swings into action!

The four heroes from the 1989 Famicom classic, Mother[Earthbound Zero]. From left to right: Ninten, Ana, Loid, Teddy.

I've always changed the names slightly to be more English sounding; Ninten, Anna, Lloyd, and Ted. Note that I fixed Ana's hair. Originally, her hair was peach, making her look like she's bald! Also, I give Loid his proper grey hair and nerdy glasses.

The eight original Kanto Gym Badges from Pokémon RGBY. From left to right, top to bottom: Bolder, Cascade, Thunder, Rainbow, Marsh, Soul, Volcano and finally Earth.

Understand understand understand understand understand the concept of love! Huh!!!

Here's my latest large project finished.

"You are X - it is a variable. It represents limitless potienal. You see, you are a new type of robot, who can think for himself. You truly are just like us humans, X.. that's why I'm afraid mankind is not yet ready to accept you. We are not yet mature. They may very well view your limitless evolutionary potential as something to be feared. The name X also carries contentions of danger. I'm sorry X...I didn't have enough time to see you enter the world. I've given you the power to think, to worry, to grow and evolve as you fight. But......it is too soon for that power to be unleashed. X, I want you to use that conscious of yours to help the people of the future. They will need someone like you to guide them. Farewell X...you are the world's one, true hope."

-T. Light, September 18th 20XX [approx. 2020 A.D.]

Yes, I wanted to do the giant X from the Megaman X intro. Special thanks to Doc for the inspiration to do this. As Doc can tell you, this sprite is massive at over a meter tall. Because I'm left handed and so is the canon Megaman, I slightly altered the original sprite to put the X-Buster on his left hand instead of his right. X was too big to photograph on the table I normally shoot my sprites on, so he's right up on the wall where he'll stay for some time to come. Sorry about the crappy shot.

And here's something I wanted to do for a while now, Megaman.EXE from BN6.

Made a new Toadman! (right)

Looking back, I discovered my original Toadman sprite (left) is based on the NES color pallet and not the character art, so I went back and make a new Toadman that is indeed his proper colors. Why the white was replaced by yellow is beyond me.

Ah, Kid Dracula. One part Alucard, one part Dracula, this guy is the very symbol of Castlevania parody.

Sprite comes from the Famicom-only Akumajou Dracula Special: Boku Dracula-kun! which translates to Castlevania Special: I'm [Kid] Dracula!

↑ ↑ ↓ ↓ ← → ← → B A START. Enough said.

Mario! Mario! Mario! Mario! Mario! *and then Mario's head is somehow the size of all of North America*

Please leave comments guys! I would love to hear feedback from you all!

The larger Mega Man ones look like they consist of a few hundred...probably more

Nice work.
I have a question though - roughly how large are, say, the Rockman sprites? I'm in some dire need of magnets for my fridge, and thought I'd make some bead sprites for that purpose. I'm unsure of what kind of sprites to go for though as ideally they shouldn't be more than a few inches in size... I was thinking Rockman sprites might work, but it's hard to get a sense of how big they'd actually be without the actual beads in front of you.
