KaiserWAVE's miraculous adventure: The German Customs Authorities
<< < (2/6) > >>
KaiserWAVE:
Soooo, got a letter from Microsoft today. Or lets say form their lawyers :) The expert witness came to the conclusion that the Fight Pad Snowcone bought for me in a normal store is a fake product (which of course it isn't but I have no way of appealing against this decision). Now I have to sign a declaration of consent that they can destroy(!!!!) the product or else they will take legal measures.

In other words I'm forced to allow them to burn my money and I won't see any compensation for it. 71 Euro ($95 as of right now) down the drain. The next time I decide to import something I will NOT choose courier shipment :)
Beastman1975:
wow that sucks
shenske:
Thats so weak!  They must know that it is an official product. They probably really dont want you to import because of games/accessories/systems (for the most part) are cheaper here.  It should even out anyway with the taxes, whatever.

I'm sorry you ran into all of that trouble buddy.  :-\
sheep2001:
i would send back the declaration unsigned with a VERY strong letter stating that it was bought from a high street store and there was no way it could be fake.
Mick Dundee:
this makes me glad I don't want any special X-Box accessories. (Sorry about your troubles Kaiser)

I hope Nintendo and Sony don't do this...I get my memory sticks, zappers, cases, screen protectors, and a bunch of other stuff from Hong Kong.

I don't see why you would have to get punished Kaiser, they should try going after the store, not the purchaser....In the cases where full price was paid anyhow
