Hi people.

I been around lurking for almost a year now, reading, taking notes and downloading stuff.

I´m a graphic and industrial designer. . . long story short: A guys owe´s money from some work I did for him and offered to do some plastic molding for me, casted in iron. I have access to a 50 ton professional molding machine and some recycled ABS (plastic). . .

I´m thinking . . . BOXES for my collection of NES games, and maybe start a bussiness out of it.

What I´m asking from you guys, specially from those with large collections is this:

- Cool features? What would you like to have on said boxes? Be crazy. Worst case scenario: Kryptonite is bad for you, Superman.

- The biggest manual/booklet size (Metric system please !) you own. One of the things that drives me insane from UCG is that I cannot have the manual along with my game ! Some manuals (specially SNES) are a few MM long ! So, I have to storage them someplace else !

Thanks for your time ! and whoever owns this . . .

GREAT JOB ! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK !

p.s. Check my gaming channel (is in spanish) just for fun ! www.youtube.com/juegamecolombia

Jacob (jueGAME) from Colombia.
Take care.

Hate to break it to ya, but Custom Game Cases has a HUGE head start on ya.  I think it would be hard to compete with him at this point.

That said, the Saturn/Sega CD/PS1 longbox cases would be killer.  They'd also cost an arm & leg to produce though (a number of us have looked into it already.  I'm an Industrial Designer as well :P)

Limited Run Games (maybe under a different name / store) is going to start reproducing exact replica / replacement Saturn/Sega CD/PS1 longbox cases.  They tracked down the patent and already have it in motion.  I believe they said they are going to be sold in packs of 5 for $25.

This is great.

If only someone with the know-how and cash could do the same for the PAL Ps1 case for a price <£1 <1€ with a 50% Margin they would make a Killing in Europe.

This!  I've seen this brought up in the past but no one has mass produced them.  Heck, just a insert that can be put in a standard CD case would be great.

but use side clippers to remove the parts instead of snapping them off.
