Who's already reserved their copy and are going to get it on Sunday? I am. Let's see how many Pokemon fans we got out there.

Edit: I just got my copy today, after having a little mix-up at the store. Sometimes, I hate Gamestop.

Hell yeah. I already "got" it through certain digital means, but I'm just going to transfer that save over to the retail copy I get on Sunday. This game is AWESOME! Most content-full update to a Pokemon game ever. Seriously, go check out the list of changes on Bulbapedia or Serebii. Tons of fixes and tons of new places to go/things to do. They really outdid themselves with this one. (But still not as amazing as Crystal's story! Remake that already, Game Freak!)

I have mine preordered and will be picking it up tomorrow afternoon!

And Shugo, I'm glad that you will actually be buying the game and not like so many other people that just "steal" it off the internet.

I've made it a point to buy all the games that I end up liking. I don't even pirate a game permanently unless it's otherwise impossible to get/doesn't even get the company money anymore. (Earthbound, anyone? Standard price for a used EB cart right now is $80!)

But yeah, as easy as it would be to just keep shoving ROMs onto a flashcart, I like to own the actual things not only because I genuinely feel good for supporting developers that do a good job, but also because there's just something that tickles my fancy about having a physical copy of a game on the shelf. I don't know what it is. Maybe I just like looking at boxart. Maybe that's why I absolutely love this site. ;)

I'm the exact same way Shugo! Emulation and pirating is a good way to test out games (IMO) but just isn't the same as owning actual copies of the games. Any game that is worth playing, I will get an actual copy of.

As for Platinum, I'm debating weather I want to finish Diamond first (I'm 60 hours in so far), Or just move on to Platinum since I don't actually remember where I left off in Diamond...

eh, move right on to platinum. Most of Platinum is the same game so you might as well move on before you get too tired of the game :P

Yeah, you might as well just move right on. Being sixty hours, I'm assuming you're probably done with the league and you're just doing sidequests/PokeDex. There's a lot more updated stuff to do/see in Platinum, so you might as well. Don't hesitate to abuse Diamond (provided you have access to a second DS) to get off to a better/more interesting start in Platinum.

Personally, I bred some Pokemon in Diamond and traded over the eggs, ditching my starter entirely. In the ROM I was using newly-hatched copies of Rotom, Porygon, Manaphy, Castform, and Nincada, but I figured that was way too much and keeping all their levels up was a hassle, so in the retail game I just restarted with Goldeen and Nincada. I realized that you get Porygon for free in Platinum and Rotom can be caught fairly early, so I'll get a better start this way. Manaphy was only there because I had an extra egg lying around.
