When it comes to some covers, it seems the scans are really dull and heavy in blue tone, so I colour corrected a recent cover by Symbios63 and wanted to ask should we care much about making the RGB levels equal?

Yes. Just as much as cleaning, and just as much as adjusting brightness and making sure the original image is 300dpi+.
Good work on the adjustment.

Thanks alot irvgotti452! Actually for this particular one, I increased the contrast 25% and went into levels and backed down on the Blue. Brightness never seems to be an issue when it comes to editing covers for me, maybe it's because I auto the levels first before I balance the contrast & RGB levels manually.

Considering the picture, the color correction is an important thing...

Thanks zakurowrath and irvgotti452.

That's great to know, glad you learned something  ;)

Symbios63:

Yes i was able to reproduce your changes.

I have been using color levels for the back cover background since my first cover but I never thought about doing it on the front picture... :(

After a quick check, many of the covers I made may be nicely improved this way... :) I will try to update some when I have time.

Thanks again
