Did you ever try it, I have both versions, one with and without the serial port, both fit, of course the serial port gives it maybe a millimeter more bulge, but it fits.

Like I said, no dice. I don't know what GS you have or what cases you're using, but there's NO way mine is gonna fit in that thing.
